These may be more shaft than I'll ever need, but I'd like to find out afew things about them before wasting my $$$$.
I tried to do a search on them and the search went crazy flipping from page to page.
Still I'm curious as to how they shoot. At 15.5gpi on the 300's and even higher on the 250's they should make some heavy thumpers.

I didn't use them, but a guy at the last shoot I attended was shooting those shafts. Maximum penetration would be an understatement versus the rest of our arrows!
I get vastly improved penetration over my woods or aluminums. Plus they are significantly more precise in spine and weight than a pure carbon. The only downside in my mind is the expense. I've broken enough carbons that I don't brag on any materials durability but these maybe less tough than pure carbons. I also don't know yet how they maintain their straightness over time. From a purely performance and accuracy mindset though these are tops.
I have them and shoot them out of 61 and 65 lb. Widow recurves. The are the Dangerous game 300,s with 100 grain brass inserts. Fly great and penetrate even better. Drop pretty good beyond 30 yards. Like all full metal jacket shafts once bent and they do bend, they are shot.

I tried FMJ 400 afew years ago and liked them. Currently I'm shooting Beman Bowhunter 300's with 250gr up front for target and Beman Black Max 300 with 250 up front for hunting. The Bowhunter shafts weigh in at alittle over 600gr and the FOC is something like 22%. The Black Max weigh in around 650gr. but I haven't checked the FOC on them. I know it should be about the same if not slightly less. I could possibly shorten them alittle more and carry 300grs up front, but I'd have to change me broadhead set and I have too many heads to be buying more.

Bending and remaining bent was my biggest problem with the 400 FMJ.

Penetration and EFOC is what I'm shooting for. The cost is a BIG drawback.

Hey Troy...I just got my wife some FMJ...but just for hunting. I like the Beman MFX and Axis. Really don't see any need to change over to FMJ unless I make them up just for hunting purposes. I shoot thru everything I have killed in the past 6 years or so that I've been using them.
By the way, glad you are back and posting. I assume you stopped the arrow business.

I've got acouple dz Beman Black Max I plan to hunt with this fall.
The reason I was asking about the FMJDG was to get feedback from those that had used them. I like my arrows to run somewhere in the 650 -700gr range. I also wanted to experament with more FOC than I'm currently getting.
The more I punch figures into the calculator and think about it the more I'm about to deside the FMJDG will be way too much for my needs.

i got 6 300's that are 28 3/4 that came in on trade with another bow if you want to try them. I will never use them unless i stick a small figerglass dowel down them and make deepwater bowfishin arrows out of them.

I shot them out of a 73# Widow a few years back in 300's with 325 up front and like 29.5"s long. Could not pull them out of a 3D target unless you sprayed them before each shot. I have some I think, I will look for them and if Ya want them you can have them! Shawn

29.5" will be close, since I draw 29".

I have shot the 0.250 during 3 years with my 76@29.25" ACS ...very good shafts, indeed...since I have jumped to the 0.200 GT kinetic for increasing my FOC...you can't be wrong with both of them....however if you choose the kinetics, the new inserts break very quickly !
I do like them a bunch!
I am shooting them from my 86 lb longbow with authority.
