I have two really nice bear claws left after giving the others away to friends here on TG...
I'm planning on making a basic necklace of a leather thong tied to a knapped head with a couple beads on either side and then a drilled bear claw [one on each side].... Problem is I don't have a "semi large" arrow head. It would need to be at least an inch wide and perhaps 2-2 1/2" long to look right with the bear claws and knapped in such a way that it would allow me to tie the leather securely to a notch of sorts where they would normally tie to the shaft of an arrow.
Does anyone have one or the skill to make me one for this purpose ???
If so please send me a PM with the cost as I would love to procede with the plans I have in my head for this project.
Thanks'
Gene
See Mike Cook's add on flintknappers.com
I have probably a thousand that I have found here in SE Arkansas. Send me a PM with your mailing address and I will send you one. Probably won't be as perfect as a modern reproduction but should work.

Have someone take one of the claws, grind it down and put it on your Kwyk Styk....lower limb...or imbed it in the riser. That would look neat...Like when Jack Kempf uses his trademark bone arrow head on all bows. :readit:  :jumper:

Cool , I like it !
Very cool looking necklace. TRW
Yeah--I like it, but must confess I expected to see something with a bunch of claws on it. I do admire those of you who do this kind of craft work. This looks very nice and that "point" sets it off just right.
