I'm posting some pic's of a takedown Longbow I just finished up for a customer of mine. I'm really happy with the fine Iowa hardwoods in this bow, that are from my home state of Iowa. The riser is Curly Black Walnut and the accent strip is Curly Maple. The limbs are Wild Cherry, with Red Elm cores. This is a sweet shooting and looking stick 64" 40@28" (http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h58/buckvalley/002-4.jpg)

Very nice love the walnut
Beauty! And the shelf is even on the right side.
Iowa lumber you say......that has to be the classiest bow ever made. ;)
Good lookin bow
Its all local lumber. I keep finding myself not wanting to use and pay the high price for exotic lumber. It would be cheaper for me and the customer. Thanks Chad
Good lookin bow Chad....that Walnut is very classy.
That's nice! I have been kickin around a similar thought about a bow built from all native lumber.
Nothing wrong with the regular woods. Looks great Chad.
Bud
That is one pretty bow. Bet it shoots as good as it looks. Huuummmm, I think that one is headed my way. Yep, I will be the proud owner of that Iowa Hardwood. It amazes me how quiet and fast his bows are.
Apparently I caught him at a good time. It's been less than 3 weeks since the order. Better get an order in before hunting season.
I'll post my thoughts when I have a chance to shoot it. Thanks Chad, What a pleasure to deal with.
Another great looking bow Chad. I really need to get me a t.d. in the near future. Congrats on the bow mint hill.
The only thing better than looking at LC bows is shooting them. Another beauty Chad. Still haven't forgotten that recurve I have been wanting. Maybe calking you soon. That Iowa wood has to have some deer mojo!!!
I like that Iowa State bow! Beautiful woods.
Maybe Chad needs to host a Lost Creek homecoming hunt.... hhhaaaaaaaaa!
I'd like to line an arrow up on an Iowa deer. :)
Really like that walnut.
Bud you or anyone who owns a Lost Creek is welcome to come for a hunt. Getting the tag is the hard part. But, it is a great state to hunt whitetails and well worth the wait I'm in zone 5. Thanks Chad
Really nice bow, Chad.
I like the understated look of those classic woods of your home state. You build one heck of a good shootin' bow!
Some very nice walnut in that riser...
That walnut looks sharp
Very nice, I love the walnut riser!
Great lookin bow Chad!
After shooting this bow for a few days, I can say that it is a fantastic shooter. Very smooth and quiet, and it looks stunning with the Iowa hardwood. Being 64" makes my 29" draw very easy to hold anchor. I shoot this bow better than the others in the stable. Thanks Chad.
Glad you like the bow. Since I got your Iowa hardwood bow done, I've been thinking of a all hardwood bow done in Natural and native woods to Iowa.
