Hey all ,
about 3 years ago the wife insisted I move back down from alaska permanently :banghead: and be a proper grandpa :) what ever that is LOL. While on my way out up in the steese country above fairbanks I decided to get my last moose hunt in ,well long story short found a nice young bull and for once proceeded to do everything right :banghead:
So recently I came across all you folks here on the board and got the bug again (heck of a disease ) So snooping around on a well known auction site I scored an older bear take down this was listed a a target bow at 50# but figure 50# is 50# so I wiill tryit this fall when it arrives I will do some checking for other limb weights to give me some versatility, Now currently living near wenatchee ,wa and will check into the trad group you have listed here well that was long winded hope no one went to sleep keep em sharp and flying straight smitty :archer2:

Welcome to the gang from Maine.

The Traditional Bowhunters of Washington is a great group we have our annual rendezvous in two weeks in Randal, WA. Come on down to camp for the weekend. I have some light weight bows you can shoot. Look me up in the vendors area. We will be there by noon on Thursday.

Welcome to this site. I've never been to Wenatchee but I do have a nephew that was conceived in Roslyn, if that counts. :)

Welcome home. I'm sure our glorious climate here in the center of the universe will cure what that far cold wetness has done to you.
:D
Hey LL ,
Thanks for the welcome ,I miss the far north more for the individualism that exists there, in all fairness our urban areas of anchorage and fairbanks are the same as the lower 48 ---crazy! :biglaugh: as as this bow gets here I will cobble up some sticks for it and prepare to go grousing be good practice for bambi season . take care all keep em sharp and flying straight
smitty
:wavey: Welcome to the Gang. :campfire: :archer2:
I also have arthritis but I have it in my drawing shoulder, when it is flaring up it hurts to release and when it isn't it does not. My biggest problem when it does flare up is not coming to full draw. To prevent a negative effect on my form I have a 40# bow to practice with but still
hunt with my 50#. Its just one of those things we have to deal with when we get older. Keep working at it and don't ever sell that gear again.
Welcome home Smitty. I'm sure you can teach us a few things too. Thank you for joining.
