Got this off of the Utah DWR's website.
"Right now is a great time to start practicing for the August opener. "If and when a big game animal presents itself," Root says, "you want to make sure you make an accurate shot."
Start practicing...
:knothead: :biglaugh:
amazing. some people must really like ahooting !!!!
I must have broke some kind of law by starting early, this much fun cant be legal.
Starting something big 2 weeks prior to deadline? sounds governmentish :knothead:
And yet, ridiculous as it sounds, somewhere out there, someone is dusting off their poor, lonely old bow that's been sitting in a corner all year, wistfully wishing it could fling a few arrows every once in a while, instead of just before the opener.
Brings a tear to me eye, it does.
If you have a tag this year
Our season doesn't start til about Oct 1, so I guess I can wait another month to dust off my bow. :scared:
I'd be laughing too, except they probably really mean it :archer2:
Thanks for the reminder, ill start in the morning.Wish California would give us reminders like that. Some day ill move out of this state.
I never got the memo to stop practicing, what gives... :archer2:
I feel so left out of the loop. :dunno:
Hey Ken, thanks for the reminder, I gotta get started practicing! I wish Tenn. would give us a warning!
I'm still waiting for that Texas whitetail to "present itself" to me. I should have enough time to start practicing after that happens. In the mean time, I think I'll go have another :coffee:
yep... i was waiting for some govt. entity to tell me when it was time!
There's more too...
"With unlimited archery elk permits available," says Scott Root, "you should consider introducing yourself to archery hunting this fall."
General archery elk starts Aug. 20th as well.
Have to admit...it doesn't take long to get good with a wheelie or the bowguns that are getting more commonly legal.
Hey there, I was suppossed to stop practicing!
WOW! thats all I can say. now where did I put that tab last fall..... :biglaugh:

Me either, guess I must have made someone unhappy.
Squirrel season is almost in. I bettter get a few pop bottles out and use some sticks for legs! Can't be unprepared.....
That sounds like the best 3d targets ever.
I am so glad that I don't have to practice.
I'd hate to have to give up some of my fun of shooting just to do something called practice...lol
God bless,Mudd
What Mudd said. An excellent and refreshing perspective, as always. :)
