Title: Heads up
Post by: K. Mogensen on July 25, 2011, 08:56:00 PM
Got this off of the Utah DWR's website.

"Right now is a great time to start practicing for the August opener. "If and when a big game animal presents itself," Root says, "you want to make sure you make an accurate shot."

Start practicing...

I must have broke some kind of law by starting early, this much fun cant be legal.

Starting something big 2 weeks prior to deadline?  sounds governmentish   :knothead:

And yet, ridiculous as it sounds, somewhere out there, someone is dusting off their poor, lonely old bow that's been sitting in a corner all year, wistfully wishing it could fling a few arrows every once in a while, instead of just before the opener.

Brings a tear to me eye, it does.

I'm still waiting for that Texas whitetail to "present itself" to me. I should have enough time to start practicing after that happens. In the mean time, I think I'll go have another   :coffee:

There's more too...

"With unlimited archery elk permits available," says Scott Root, "you should consider introducing yourself to archery hunting this fall."

General archery elk starts Aug. 20th as well.

Have to admit...it doesn't take long to get good with a wheelie or the bowguns that are getting more commonly legal.

I am so glad that I don't have to practice.

I'd hate to have to give up some of my fun of shooting just to do something called practice...lol

God bless,Mudd

What Mudd said.  An excellent and refreshing perspective, as always.    :)
