Traded into this Crow Creek "Black Feather" Longbow/Recurve combination. I cant decide which set of limbs I like better, they both shoot amazingly well. The longbow limbs are #53@28, the recurve are #50@28.
Awaiting a black/tan Thunderhorn quiver.

Very nice Lamey, love the recurve limbs.
beautiful!
I don't know much about Crow Creek Bows, but, that is a beautiful bow. Stay with the recurve limbs.
Very nice Matt !!!!!!!!
Those recurve laminations look very much like the ones that are on mine. It sure is hard to beat Elmer's craftsmanship, let alone the fact that they shoot so darn well too. For those of you that have never shot one of Elmer's bows, you don't know what your missing.

I LIKE IT. :goldtooth:
Very nice,
Very nice. I'm sure you'll be pleased with it. I'd never seen one before either, until mine arrived from Elmer in April. They're a very quiet, pleasant shooting bow. You did well on that trade.
I had a Black Feather before, and like so many of us wound up selling it to pay for something else! I was real happy when this one was offered to me and I was able to work out a trade to get it. I really enjoy shooting it, looking fwd. to that quiver getting here.
WOW that a great looking bow, very nice wood.Really like the clean lines of the longbow limbs.
Ive said this before, and believe it now more then ever, although Elmer has been building bows since 1973, I think he is the most "overlooked' bowyers out there.
I'm a longbow guy, but love Olive ash. I have the ok piece of Cocobolo with Olive ash limbs creek you had some time ago Lamey man she is a beautiful bow, and a shooter.
If you decide you need to part with that combo I would love to have another one of Elmer's bows. I also think he is overlooked. He is a fine person and builds really nice bows.
Beautiful!
thanks guys, here are a few more pics-

It just doesn't get any better than that!
That is a really beautiful bow! Really clean lines and wonderful wood choices. Even though I'm basically a one piece longbow shooter, I prefer the looks of the recurve limbs on a takedown.
