Wow, Jake I need to come out for a visit.
Awesome! I grew up in SW Colo and still get there frequently but this post is sure making me miss the day to day life up there.
Great pictures!
Beautiful. Looks like you could always fish if you can't get on the elk. Is that an Eberlestock X2?
Beautiful Pictures Jake, Thanks for Sharing!!
Great photos Jake. What's up with the long sleeve shirt though. Don't you mountain boys know its 100 degrees outside. Haha.

That is the beauty of the high country...nearly 11k feet...it is a bit cooler up there.
Also this particualar area is known for its mesquito population, so longsleeves beats alot of nasty spray.
Those pics make this flat lander want to head west. Stunning pics. Thanks for sharing.
great pictures, thanks for sharing
Amazing country!
Beautiful!! Some day I'll make it out west...thanks for sharing!
I'm living in the wrong part of the country for sure, great pics :)
You Colorado guys are killing me.100 degree here with 90 percent humidety, has not rained enouth to settle the dust in months. But it's always 100 here.Great pics thanks for sharing...
Jake,
Beautiful pictures I'm headed up next weekend for a little scouting trip.
Hopefully the snow and mud will be gone, 90deg temps down here it should be leaving fast up high.
Pat
I keep coming back...awesome playground ya have there sir!
Nice pic's Jake! That's not too far from my house you know......
Great pics ... I went scouting this last week and carried my camera for three days and didn't take one picture :nono: I better get with the program.
Looks like you borrowed my X2 and GL3 :D
Thanks for sharing. I'm counting the days to west bound and down.....
I think I would be carrying my fly rod on that scout mission rather than my bow. Looks like some really nice trout fishing from the pics.
Headed to Idaho for a week of back country trout fishing next month and cannot wait!

Oh ya! The rod came along on this trip as well...some fine fishing in that neck of the woods. Good luck on your trip.
