Gradually, some of them wake-up, and one of the more sociable ones comes to inspect the strange creatures staring-in at them...

While I was all impressed by your log your posting something even better! What a find!
That is very cool what a great find out hunting.
Glad you put them back unharmed.I know some over there consider them pests.
Cute little suckers aren't they?
I'm just surprised that you could pick 'em up! Over here, a 'Yote pup that age wouldn't want you near it, much less picking it up.
What are they? Steve
Those would mate a fine pet mate. My Grandfather had a Dingo pup as a pet years ago and he still tells me it was one of his best dogs...
ak.
Thanks, fellows. Yep, it was worth the early morning and the long miles, just seeing them.
Dogboy900, we do consider them a pest. One of my student's has lost twenty calves this year already. But, they were too cute, and deserve a chance to grow-up into calf-killing machines for us to dislike. Sportsmanship, eh.
Steve, they're dingo or wild dog pups, depending on which scientist you're listening to. Some say there are no more pure dingos on the mainland, others disagree.
Al, I was sorely tempted.
Awesome Ben. I reckon that little fella would have found his way into my backpack for a ride home.
Very cool! I've only seen one adult, up in the NT, which was pretty neat. Don't think I could ever kill a pup. Good on ya for just taking pics!
As much as I don't like them killing cattle, I admit the bush would be poorer without them. But I think that way in regard to all our feral animals (except cane toads and cats).
Dave you and that Pup have the same Muzzle....
Some great pictures sir, makes me wish I was there.
OOOOHHH! I want one. Please Uncle Ben,Please. I will come and pick it up.
You always have some cool stuff to show Ben, Thanks.
Chuck
Always enjoy your posts Ben. Little taste of the outback this morning.

How cool is this?.... Way!.... I'm saying...
Thank you for sharing with us!
God bless,Mudd
PS: BTW I have never in my life seen an ugly puppy but I have seen them do a 180 after they grow up...lol
Fine looking pup.
Thanks for sharing the pics.
Made my morning thanks for sharing. I have a very big soft spot for puppies, wife says im not allowed anymore lol?
Very cool Ben....
great pics!!! are they pretty common of there?
Ben, Thanks for the pics. Nice looking pup, but they grow up into some very efficient hunters.
Good stuff Ben except for the 20 calves lost. You did right.
Wonderful... thank you sincerely for bringing us there.
Looks kinda like my Red Heeler's great grand pappy!
:bigsmyl: :clapper:
Yes they look cute when they are only pups.
Thanks for sharing! You're a stronger man than I for not bringing one of the cute lil buggers home! :)
Lol what bow is it?
Good on you fellas'! Thanks for the cool pics.
I am currently in Tasmania but headed to Queensland in the morning for 6 days then on to Alice Springs.
Too bad I do not have my bow with me...
It's a Black Widow PSAII.
Silver_Wolf, are you travelling up to Darwin? If so, I'm on the way, and you'd be welcome to visit! I'll send a PM incase you don't get back to this thread.
