Thought afew of you might like to see some of my latest work.
Check out my new PWC (paddled water craft) and my new recurve. For years I've shot longbows and for some reason this season I wanted to switchhit to a recurve. I've still got to steelwool the whole bow to knock out the high sheen and add the shelf and sight window pads.
The canoe is something I've been working on for the past year. Gave it the maiden voyage this morning.
Hopefully I've got everything sized right.

Correction!!!!! fixed that problem!!!
Congratulations. Beautiful craftsmanship.
Nice x 2.
Beautiful bow and canoe!
I love the canoe, you did a good job on the recurve, very nice.
Looks great. Beautiful Craftsmanship.
I'm gonna figure out some way to get those pics up. I know how I hate having to click on a link to see a pic.
Troy
Very nice on both Roy , I love that canoe .
i know its supposed to be about trad archery, the bow looks great! the canoe , on the other hand holy ****, the patience time and craftsmanship that went into it is something else!very impressive. no leaks! very cool. rv
What could be more traditional than a canoe.. :-)
Just think, If luck is with me this fall I might pile up some big ol' buck or maybe even a big ol' boar in the front and pull a Lewis and Clark on the way back.
:-) :-) :-)
Troy
Absolutely beautiful work on both the canoe and the bow. :clapper: :clapper:
I absolutely envy you guys that can work with wood, and have it turn out like your canoe and bow. This is probably a hobby for you, with professional results. Beautiful work!!!
Doing something like adding the correct pics is a bigger task than building a canoe or bow.
:-) :-) :-)
Troy
 Great workmanship on both!
 :archer:
Hey Troy, been years but as always outstaning work....
Mark,
Yep, been years.... Kinda lost me mind while living in MO. Guess you could say it stemed from not having alot of trad folks around. The few that did come around managed to keep me in line. Now I'm back and ready to rock and role this fall.
Troy
I think you should send them both to me to make sure they are in good working order!!(LOL) SWEET!! Shawn
Shawn,
LOL,,,LOL,,LOL!!
If you could find a USPS priorty box big enough for the canoe I might consider it......
Troy
Unreal, great work.
Got a chance to put a good amount a arrows thur the curve this afternoon. I think I've got a shooter in this one.
Troy
Think I could eventually build a bow that launches an arrow. It would not however be that nice.
As for the boat....... No way could I even dream of building something like that.
Sir,you are a magician! Thanks for sharing!
Excellent work on both the Canoe and the Bow.!!
The canoe was something I had wanted to do for several years. Fnally got the nurve to go for it and now I'm one happy camper.
Building one like this one would have been a lost cause while I was in MO. Too many rocky creeks and rivers to risk using a strip canoe there. Here we have several small lakes to float around and hot dang is it fun.
Troy
WOW!!! X2.. Beautiful work on both,, and it appears you have the pictures figured out as well.
You are talented my friend,Fantastic work, you should be proud!
Very nice Troy, you definatly have a gift!
What Steve Clandinin has said.Congrats!
Impressive!
Been out shooting the bow several times today. I think I might have outdid myself on this one. Bareshafting shows it to be very close to my ACS CX. It is two pounds heavier in weight so that accounts for part of it. Still, I'm tickled camo on this one.
Troy
Congrats on both, but I can't believe that your buit that canoe. Great job!!!!
Charlie,
Believe it or not I built it kinda of off the seat of my pants. No bought plans or anything. I knew what I wanted and took my time until it came out like I thought should.
Troy
Troy,
Outstanding !!!! I warn you it can be an addiction and you will always try to outdo yourself. The boat is beautiful and I love the finish, varnish varnish varnish. I had no idea that you were making bows or I just did not pay attention either way a beautiful job, thank you for posting it for all of us to view, all the best to you, Joe Flikkema
Simply grand and the epitome of fulfillment.
My hat is off to you.
Joe,
When I desided I wanted a canoe I started looking at the ones sold in the box stores. My wife would always make commits like "thats too much for something that little" or "can't you build one yourself, I know it wouldn't cost as much".
OK,,,, if she only knew.... :-) :-)
Well, maybe she did figure it out after she saw how long it took to make one.. :-) :-)
