Ditto, what Night wing said, and where can one be purchased. I'm very average at sharpening. I can get some broad heads to shave with a knife sharpener I have..but I could be a little better.

Don't think a link is permitted. Do a Google search for 'Rada Sharpner'.

They are great. Do a search snd there I a lot of info on them. Brwveheart archery, lefties-r-us, simmons sharks, are some if the places you can get them. Most versatile sharpener on the market for the money, IMHO. And if Charlie Lamb uses one, you know they must work.

It looks much safer than the other type with the v shaped carbide you run along the edge of the blade. I ran a magnus int my unsocial finger using one of those. It was ugly. Threw them all away. Gonna give it a try.

I sharpened a bunch of new style and old style Grizzlies last week using a home made technique because my old method hurt my rib injury.  I screwed a slotted piece of hardwood to the side my picnic table, took a wedge shaped chunk and fastened a new Grizzly file to it with screws and washers. I set the arrow so that the broadhead was supported at the corner of the slotted piece and at the angle I needed and clamped it in place. A home made wood KME system sort of. Controlling that angle and pressure is everything, they were shaving sharp with just file, a little better yet with the proper filing flat of the back, tweaked them a little with a diamond hone, then made them smooth with a leather strap. I can shave hair with no snagging off my arms. A KME knife sharpener would have been easier, but I wanted to test the system before I bought one for myself, it works for my single bevel Hills as well with a slight modifications in the techniques. Next year I will be using a real KME system.
