How well do the tips on the following 2-blade glue-on broadheads hold up to hits on bone or are they better off with a tanto tip?
1)Zwickey Eskimo
2)Eclipse
3)Stos
4)Ace
5)Ribteks
Thanks.

I've shot three out of the five. I always round or tanto the tips. Never any problems. On the other hand, a needle point is quite susceptible to bending/turning over.

I have shot and had bome hits with all but the Ribteks. The zwickey was my go to broadhead and I was leaving the point as it came. Had a few issues early on and was shown how to modify to a slight tanto tip. You only want to use 2 or 3 strokes of each of the four sides of the broadhead to make the point. After I was shown this I have never had another issue with a bone hit. I have only shot the other broadheads with the modified point, so can not comment on bone hit with original points.

I've shot Zwickeys and STOS and I can say, I've never had the tip curl using a STOS broadhead when I've hit bone.

Thanks a lot for the replies.
Old Chief, would it be possible to post a close-up photo of the tanto tip you are using as I'd like to see the angle you are using.
Another question....are the tanto tips supposed to be as sharp as the remainder of the edge or are they left a little thicker?
Thanks.

Sent you a PM that I think will help.

Much appreciated, Old Chief.

the Ribteks have not been made for about 2 years now and were soft when they were being made
