What type of quiver do you prefer?
-
Side quiver on the ground...quick detach bow quiver up a tree. Voted side quiver since that's what I really prefer.
-
With a GFA type quiver; when I'm scouting I use it as a back quiver, but if I spot game and then try a stalk, I'll use it as a side quiver.
I voted "side" quiver.
-
I voted "side quiver," but the quiver I use, the Safari Tuff, is more of a back quiver that you draw from the side, and there wasn't really an option for that.
-
I use Selway quivers.I've always been happy with them.
-
I voted bow quiver, but also use a Bison Gear back quiver that attaches to my pack. My bow quiver is a 2 arrow.

On the bow. I tried a side quiver once. I was a chore to keep it from hanging on brush and making noise while stalking hogs.
-
I like the looks of that 2 arrow quiver. Who makes it?
-
Bow quiver for me since I am mostly a stalker in the mountains with a bulky backpack.I don't carry more than 4 arrows so the weight is not so bad.
-
4 - arrow strap on bow quiver for me. :campfire:
-
I don't care for bow quivers but I think I will use one on my Elk hunt this year. I like the grab it and go type set up. The results are just what I thought they would be. I voted side quiver!
-
Bow quiver for me.
-
I tried for years to avoid bow quivers for many reasons now I would not hunt with out one
The weight helped me shoot and for moving thru thickets they are the best I am a bow quiver guy now
-
Great Northern for me
-
I have used bow quivers for most of my bowhunting life. I remove the quiver when I am situated in the tree stand.
This year I might just change though. The used Habu I bought came with a bowquiver made for the Habu-it would be a shame not to use it. The quiver comes off very easily. However, the washers and screws would be difficult to keep from losing if I treated it as a removable quiver.
-
I have not liked a bow quiver for a while with the weight of the arrows throwing my shooting off alttle. I have aback quiver but for the long length arrow I use since I have a 30.5" draw they sit high and get caught on trees when still hunting.
-
Tried a bunch. Have settled on a Great Northern.

I voted "side" quiver.

I've always been a bow quiver kinda guy. Side quivers make too much noise and hang up on everything and I don't like anything strapped to my back.
I love my Big Jim's 2 piece bow quiver, it's just right.

I just got a used Catquiver that I will be trying out this fall. I am practicing removing and replacing arrows at this time, as that's a big complaint about them. I have always been a bow quiver guy, but don't want to lose the light-in-the-hand feel of my new longbow. I suppose if you see me post a used CQ2 in the classifieds in late fall, you'll know how it turned out...
But I will say that my first impression of the CQ is that it may be exactly what I was looking for. I really like it so far.

I've used bowquivers for years and have never liked them. This year I'm trying a side quiver and hoping for the best. TRW

I love my selway, but I drove 180 miles to goto 3Rivers yesterday. They sold me on a Safari Tuff Arrowmaster Side Quiver. Couldn't wait to get home and try it. I think I have a new favorite. Great knowledgable service as always at 3Rivers.

I really don't like a bow quiver but end up using them when hunting from treestands. Having your arrows on your bow is one less thing to deal with up in a tree.
I actually prefer a back quiver and use one for almost every occasion except hunting from treestands.

Several years ago at a shoot I bought a Lakota style quiver from a trade blanket. It will easily hold a dozen or more arrows. Plenty of room for a mixture of blunts and broadheads. Before I put broadheads in the quiver I put them into a foam block first. When the arrows are pulled out the block stays behind. The quiver it's self hangs on a strap long enough to allow the quiver to move around when I want it to.

Hill style back quiver, side stalker.
-
I never liked what a bow quiver did to the lines and simplicity of a bow. Finally about 5 years ago I hunted with one, and am now hooked.
Everything in one hand, and minimal movement to get off another shot.
I voted Bow quiver
-
I used a bow quiver last deer season but I picked up a raptor side quiver. This thing is priceless holds 6 arras dead quiet I swear you couldnt get it hung on brush if you tried. I used it for run and gun turkey hunting and loved it. I'll have to see what its like to have a quiver and stand on my back though.

I prefer a bow quiver and that’s the way I voted. I like keeping matched arrows with the bow. But, last year I used a back quiver for the first time, because I couldn’t decide on a particular bow to hunt with. It worked out all right and it’s looking to be going the same way this year.
-
Oiled & exercised into a perfect fit. Maybe you can see where it conforms to my back? Love this old quiver the real deal.

Back to the top one more time

When I use a bow quiver, I prefer a Kanati angle, however, the majority of the time I hunt with a "Powderhorn Wilderness" stalker quiver by Art Vincent.
