We have all seen trail camera picts. But sometimes you catch a moment in time in the woods that just makes you stop and look. Post some of your really neat, odd or simply beautiful picts for us. This buck has his first bloody shred of velvet coming off.

Nice pics Tom...I agree there are those certain pics that just make you stop and day dream a bit about things that go on in the woods.

That bear looks as if he's learned to Beg.
Cool pics guys! Tom, I like the 1st and last ones of yours especially.
Tom what a great photo. Yes they have learned the art of begging or ripping out the bottom of feeders.

That pic of the buck in the fall morning mist is awsome. That is the time of year I feel most alive!
I don't know if I'll ever get a better trailcam pic then this bugling bull fresh out of a wallow.

Wow, some amazing pics for sure.
Awesome pic Ron.
Thanks Mike, I sat in a stand near there a few days after that pic was snapped but never saw him. Imagine that. It was foggy and cool that morning as well. Makes my neck swell just thinking about it.
Awesome pic Ron.

I bumped this buck and a smaller one off the field on my way to the stand that morning. The Chubacabra picture was taken about 300 yds from the bucks scrape.

This one is my favorite. We were suppose to get a cold hard rain that day and the wood stove was awfully inviting. It had just started and I was headed to the house when this camera caught the deer and me. I did get a shot but I mmmmmmmissed and the hair carried the meat away.

The buck standing in the water was after a 7 inch rain. Him standing in the creek wasn't planed.
Them are some dandy critters. It looks like that field is just running off as the picture took. very cool. I have wanted to hunt the Dakotas for awhile, more so now. Nice country, nice animals.
Chuck

That buck is a born poser ....
He is Ken. This was where they came out to the bean field every night and returned in am. I put a mineral rock here, and he loved it. I bet I have 100 pictures of him over a two week span at this spot.
I hunted a stand here just after the season opened and had him at 10 yards broadside for over five minutes. I snapped about five pictures of him standing in front of me from the stand. The plan was to give him one more year to see what he would turn into. My buddy found him this spring dead while turkey hunting. 176". It still makes me cry from time to time. I assume he took a bullet in the late season.

You Passed THAT up? You got some will power Tom.
Very nice!
Chuck, some call it crazy. ;)
WOW...TJ your if passing up 170-180 class deer, do you want a hunting partner?
Believe me if it weren't for the QDMA plan on this farm I would have shot this deer in a heartbeat. I'm still having the nightmares. Here he was from my tree. I think I could have killed him with a fly swatter. Some of you all have seen these sorry for the duplicates. My therapist said it was good for healing.

Tom, in your defense, the brute doesn't look as many inches on the hoof as in hand.
My name is kennym and I havent killed a buck in six years now. :p Gonna have to shoot one to see how it feels to walk up and grab an antler....
I tell my bro we are seriously underestimating inches when we pass em....
You are very right Kenny. I had him under me twice last year and told many of my buds that this deer was in the high 150's, boy was I off. The deer on this place get year round nutrition and their body weights are enormous. That in turn makes their racks look small on the hoof. He is also very narrow adding to the miscalculations. If I would have known he was that big I would have let the air out of him and asked my buddy for forgiveness.
Enough about my sad stories guys. Sorry to get this off track post those cool cam picts.
Man what a brute!! I remember that, so is it good for you like the therapist said?
TJ, That is some serious will power brother.
Here's a one of a kind that I'm sure will never happen again. Before anybody asks, I have no clue what these are, I caught them on my trail camera about a week before the November opener in northern Missouri '06. I just think they are kinda neat and I'm always trying to guess what it could be. Good reminder that some strange things happen out there in them woods at night.
Here's a deer on the same camera, same spot for size comparison.
Looks like casper the ghost on the left and a lighted parachute for the other one. Seriously, I don't have a clue.
The deer that Kentucky TJ passed, sure looked like a "quality deer" to me.
Here are some fun pics from Missouri:

archer66- Why did you leave that nice shed out there in the woods? Did you just want to see what would happen to it?
QuoteOriginally posted by SEMO_HUNTER:

Yup...I left it there for almost 3 months and got hundreds of pictures of deer, coyotes, racoons, and squirrels. The squirrels didn't leave much of it behind.
Yeah they make pretty quick work of sheds around here and I'm lucky to find one at all, and if I do it's rare to find it in perfect shape without teeth marks on it. The squirrels are super thick around here where I live! I've been saving them for just in case the economy gets worse, I might need to rely on them for a steady protein diet.
TTT
Now this is an odd bunch!
Never seen a raccoon and a turkey feeding together.
Turkey and deer yes.
Raccoons and deer yes.
But never a coon and a turkey together. And plus a couple of deer. lol!
Corn makes everybody happy in the woods! lol!

I've watched this deer the last 3 years. I'll try and pull the pictures. Two years ago he was a wide skinny antlered 6-pointer. Last year he was a wide skinny antlered 8-pointer. This year I'd like my oldest son to get a shot him. If not, I'll see what he looks like next year!

Some awsome pictures on here. That hog/coom pic is something to see, Terry. Makes you wonder how that one ended. My guess is that the coon was dinner.
TJ, You need some serious therapy my friend...LOL

Here's a pic of a buck that I shot in November '09. The pic is from the previous year. I think it's a "cool trail cam pic" because I got to see how his antlers developed from one year to the next. The shape of the mains are identical from the year before, down to the little "hook" at the tips. The rack just got beefier from one year to the next. While he doesn't compare to some of the buck you yankees post regularly, he WAS my first buck. :)
