Hello everyone, I really want to make my own wooden arrows and I've read that if your nocks are off slightly then your arrows will not fly properly. Simply, i was wondering what would be the best way to ensure that you get an accurate, precise fit of a nock to a wooden arrow.
Thank you.

Just use your Keen eye. Look at them, one side and then rotate 90 degrees and look again. Easy to tell.

When I make my wooden arrows,I'll pick the straightess end to make my nock end.I invested years ago in a Woodchuck,a great tool you can make small adjustment on the taper to get a great fit.But you can get good results with the pencil type taper tools. But I'll straighten my wood shafts before I do any other work on them.

I use a basic Spin Tester to make sure Nock, Points, and Broadheads are straight. You can buy them, or make one for a couple bucks.
Here's mine. You can buy the little rollers at Home Depot or similiar stores.

or you can just roll the shafts on a table and see if the nock spins true.

Don't forget to align the string path perpendicular to the grain of the shaft.  More important with self nocks, but still important.
