Title: Bitzenburger help
Post by: Ari on July 19, 2011, 09:11:00 PM
Does anyone know what size allen wrench is needed to change a Bitzenburger fletching jig from 3 to 4 feather fletch?    :dunno:
Would also like to know what size is used to adjust the feather degree because at the moment I've just been using pliers and its causing some wear.

Thanks,
Ari

1/8" for the divot screws & 9/64" for the angle adjustments.

I'm sure Eugene is correct for his Bitz.  However, I have old and new Bitz's that have different allen sizes.  Best to just spring for a set of allens in US sizes.  Probably cheaper than buying a couple of single allens anyway.

Yeah I was looking on 3river and they have an allen wrench set, just wanted to make sure it had the sizes I needed.

Thanks

mine are 5/64" and are over 20 years old.   bought a couple extra allen keys from Ace Hardware for 49 cents each

Yes it is handy to have both sets of allen wrench sizes.

Sears has nice allen wrench sets---both Sae and Metric.  They "fold up and fit in your pocket too.

Just a dumb question, can you get SAE in the land down under? If not those are going to be some expensive allens.
