OUCH!!! Your tougher than me.

I know a few people who shoot bare finger and I practice a little bit some times just in case I ever loose my tab. I can tell you I am not as accurate bare finger even though there are many people who are.

I lose accuracy when I try as well.  I think after about 3 shots I start subconsciously flinching at release cause I start getting a little sore, not really sure.  I decided to just throw an extra glove in my pack.

QuoteOUCH!!! Your tougher than me.
I was thinking the same thing.
I try a take a few shots at the end for that just in case I lose my tab. I find it that I have to not think about it. When I first tried I was worried about my fingers and was thinking about it... I was not very accurate. I have done it enough now that I don't see any difference. I will also say I won't give up my tab. I like the skin on my fingers just that way they are

It's like going barefoot! Just have to get use to it.

I stared shooting without protection, in the late 80s. No, I don't have big hands and large callouses. Just determination and alot of arrows shot.

I will shoot with a tab time to time, and in the cold with a cotton or mechanix glove, for warmth.

Some folks, double serve their strings.

I've shot bare fingers since I decided to go traditional. It took a little while before my fingers lasted as long as arms. Still in cold weather my fingers won't last as long as the rest of me. This is my thought process. If it is not my bow or my arrows then it might be left on the shelf and there I would be sitting in the tree with bare fingers.

I'd only attempt it if a nice buck was in front of me and I lost my glove.

A buddy and I tried it years ago.  It took a few weeks but you get some padding built up and its fine.  But, lay off a couple weeks and they start to get soft again.

I practice it now and then just to be prepared for when I do forget a glove.

I only shoot bare fingered when i hunt, not when i practice.

To much shooting without a glove or tab, could possibly cause nerve damage in the tips of your fingers. Just a thought.

I have shot bare fingers for years now. One less thing to worry about. Calus delvelops and turns slick where you are not getting a clean release(in the beginning) usually the ring finger dragging at top. Sometimes think I should use a tab for cold weather. Somedays it feels like you just flung 3 fingers and an arrow into the target.

I shoot without a tab or glove fairly regular.Well, unless I am going to be shooting alot.I dont notice any differance in arrow flight.
