I haven't seen anyone selling lodgepole shafts in a while.  Bob at Whispering Winds Arrows sells the Hexpine shafts that are made from lodgepole pine.  In the past I had gotten some from 3-Rivers I think, but I don't think they carry them anymore either.

Best of my knowledge no one is making them any more. I sure wish someone would pick them up, they make a great arrow.

I have a bunch left over from when I was making arrows. If you need anything heavier than 60# spine I will be happy to work out a trade.

I bought some real nice Pine shafts from Larry/ Lost Nation a couple years ago. He had a few dozen at Cloverdale, just to light in spine for me. great price, too!

Have had chundoo from Twig, real nice shafts too.

I like 'em for my squirrel arrows. Cheap to build, nice and straight, good shooters, oh and cheap!  :D

May have to pm Bill for some 75/80 shafts?

We sell Lodgepole pine , sorry Rob have to disagree with you on this one , I feel that the lodgepole holds up a bit better to fir with a deflecting blow ( stump shooting)seems to be more of an interlocking fiber grain. Dont get me wrong fir is great stuff, I just feel the lodgepole is a bit better.
Unfortunately like was mentioned before no one is manufacturing lodgepole in mass at this time.
We do get some from time to time from a small manufacturer and have a good supply of them below 65#. No they are not on our web page  www.raptorarchery.com (http://www.raptorarchery.com)  so you will have to call.

Well, I won't agree or not on the Fir vs Pine, but the Pine I have had in the past has been good!

I went thru the period of "Good Cedar" scare in the early 90's, then the alternative shafts!

Hardwood, both native and tropical! Some great stuff...but supply, demand for flooring and other markets, have brought alot of variables in the wood market!

Heck, I remember Ken Beck telling me of the changes they were up against to find an alternative to maple/ actionwood for their bows!

Look what they have now!
