im looking for c223 ?????ty mark
I have one in the shop that was likely 2.00 new in the 60's. Very well made.
The C223 is a big camp type knife, I mostly have hunting/bushcraft types right now. I maybe placing and order soon and that is one I need to look at. I would have had to wait for a week or so to get it with my last order and that would have made me miss having the knives for the show we went to. I will make a post when we get the website updated and running, please just PM or call until then. Thank you.

I must have about a dozen mora knives scattered around the place. Great knife for the price! Not always my go to knife but many times an extra in a kit, in a tool box, anywhere yea might need a knife. If yea ask to borrow a knife I'll likely hand you a mora...
I always keep one in the glove box and the Scamp trailer. For the price, buy a few and scatter them around. They come exceeding sharp right off the bat.
TommyBoy, How you been man? Missed you at Comptons.

Chuck
I just had to go for a quick countup; I've got 17!
In the toolbox, 3 on the boat, glovebox of the truck & The Wife's car, toolbox on the truck, several in the office, two in the kitchen drawers, one in each of my hunting packs & 3 in my 'bug-out box/camp kitchen'
Disgustingly useful piece of kit! :D
One thing I do notice (moreso in the US than in the UK, for some reason) is that a lot of folks don't know how to sharpen a Scandi grind properly.
When you sharpen a Mora/Frosts/Helle blade, you really want to be sharpening with the entire bevel flat to your stone. A Scandi grind shouldn't have a secondary bevel on the edge.
Once you get your head around it, it really is the easiest kind of grind to sharpen & generally speaking, the toughest edge to blunt.
If anyone's interested, I did a tutorial on sharpening over on the Knife Maker's forum, that deals specifically (In the first half) with sharpening a Scandi ground blade.....

Rob's system works! I have the bandaids to prove it!
Mora are well known here in Scandinavia for making tough and affordable knives. I don't think there has been a household without at least one, where I come from. I think they even made a filet-knife with a cork handle, that my father and grandfather used when in the boat at sea. At least I think it was Mora..
My Dad had one of them 60's (or 50's Moras) like Bjorn mentioned until I lost it for him.
I got 3 Mora's last year at a trade show from vendors, bloodied one in Molokai this spring! Great knives.
Check out you tube for the Mora Knife torture test , thats one TUFF $16 knife .
That is a nice tutorial Rob,Thank you. I have made and use some of the stuff you show, I will be making more now.
I will post some pics and prices on the classifieds later tonight or in the morning. I have 4 models right at the moment and should have more soon, Thanks

i couldn't believe just how sharp this little knife gets and stays. i used a white tail antler tine for a handle on my mora and made a nice little leather sheath with a belt clip. i usually just clip it to the strap of my back quiver. :campfire: don
