Title: brace height for short recurves.
Post by: Bladepeek on July 17, 2011, 05:17:00 PM
I know e-B.. items are not for posting here, but I'd like some help from short bow shooters on one I'm looking at. Can this possibly be a correct brace height?

I'm no expert but I do own a 52" k-mag and to me that bow looks like the brace height is a lot higher than what my k-mag would be at. I would suggest you buy a new string for any used bow you buy.

It looks a little funny, but I blew the picture up and measured. I came up with and 8" brace using the riser as a reference...I assumed the riser was about 2" wide.

Thanks guys. Guess picture angles can be deceiving. Somewhere around 7.5 - 8" then would be a reasonable starting point then? My 60" braces well at 7 5/8, but that pic looked like a foot!
Thanks agin.

Start at 7" and go from there.

My K-mags both like a brace height of 8 to 8 1/2 inches.
