Good Looking Bow! Congrats!
OK, FINALLY GOT TO SHOOT IT, AND WE GOT A PROBLEM,-----IT SOMEHOW WITH MY STYLE OF SHOOTING GETS GREAT GROUPS! LOL IT ALSO IS VERY QUIET (POSSIBLY THE LIMBSAVERS ON THE LIMBS AND CAT WHISKERS ON THE STRINGS) BUT IT IS 55#@28 AND IM ABOUT A 29DL SO ITS A LITTLE STOUT BUT FIRES AN ARROW LIKE A BULLET! I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH PERFORMANCE AND WITH GREAT LOOKS.

HOPE YOU ENJOY!!
Eric, If you've followed some of my threads I'm a Pearson fan also. That is a beautiful bow. I would love to get ahold of a new Pearson 55# er. I sent a PM.Where in the KC area could a guy get ahold of one? Thanks, Ben
Wow. The Bushmaster sure has changed since the '60's  ...Van
You remember the sixties? :saywhat:
Killdeer :wavey:
(Pearson still makes a pretty bow! )
anybody got a pic of the original??
I've changed a lot since the 60's.........
So, are they making a traditional bow again???
RonP
Yes sir!
The originals looked like these of mine and were 2 piece.
Killy, the sad thing is I also remember the 50's :wavey: ...Van

Nice bow
van,
thanks for showing the pics, that is crazy the change that has taken place. but i would love to have an original!! cool bows
I remember the 50's and the 60's also. I've got an old Bushmaster, it's predecessor-the Window bow, and a refinished model that could be either-no markings on it, but mine are RH. I only shoot the refinished one, the other 2 look showroom new-no scratches, marks, or crazing. I heard somewhere that if you remember the 60's, you weren't there. Guess I missed out on what made you forget.
anymore lookers
how much do they cost and how long are they? i couldnt find this information on their website
I'm pretty sure it is 62" and the msrp is $1000.
Thats not really a bad thingto remember the 50's. At least you still got your memory. :bigsmyl:
I would post alink but its got wheelie bows on it as well, but they are 62" with limbs from 30-70 in tens, the suggested retail is 999.00 but most shops have them for 800.00. But for that price it shoots like a champ.
Have you scaled it or chronoed it to get an idea of its tolerances? It sure is a sporting looking piece of gear and if it performs with other top recurves Pearson has a winner.
I am glad to see them back in the Trad world!
Eric,
is that the same one that Chris was shooting down there the night Larry brought me out to the shoot? If so, the bow was beautiful.
hey Jeff!! good to see ya (or hear from ya) but yes, well its not his they had the 55lb model at the shop serial #2, thats mine his is #1. but as said above im glad they are back in the trad side of things too! i shot wheelie bows for them this year and found this guy (Larry Surtees)some of you may know him! (great dude by the way just in case you dont know him)and he really led to the trad side of things, and ive been on fire ever since, just luckily Pearson has these bows made for them to use, and i am lucky enough to be able to shoot them. And off the record Jeff is a great shooter as well!!
Eric,
I wouldn't let that bow ever slip from my fingers! I'd pass that onto to a son. I didn't get to shoot the one Chris was shooting but it zipped an arrow and was quiet as a mouse. I wanted to shoot it but I was a bit embarrassed to ask since I had never been there before or really didn't know anyone. Those Pearson bows are special to me because thats what I started with and I still have it. My grandfather handed it down to me, and I'll hand it down to my son.
Thanks for the compliment. You are a great shooter too. Have you been working on any of the stuff I got to show you in the few minutes after the shoot? I got out and shot a bit this morning before it got too hot and I was really on the spot.
yes, i have been, the only problem is my eye dominance, on that particular set-up but im working on it. and yes, well everyone that sees this bow in person is very impressed, but like you it is a very sentimental bow, and i have found that all of these trad bows are the same, usualy because who gave em to ya, or how you came by them.
