I use 5 gpi weight tubes in my carbon arrows.
I have had good consistent results using these to beef up my arrow to right over 600 grains.
However, when I am 'stumping' with my Judos point, the carbon weight tubes knock out the nock point on my arrow. It literally throws the nock point backwards to me upwards of 10 yards.
I tried using 'hot melt' to secure the nock point into the arrow, but that didn't work. I also tried crimping the carbon weight tube to prevent it from sliding backwards on impact, and that failed to work as well.
Any tips??
are you sure its the weight tubes and not the impact of the arrow on a hard stump, this will also happen on wood arrows with glue on nocks if the stump is hard

I guess I should be only shooting at stumps that are closer to rotten?? Do you all ever shoot at hard stumps?? My tips rarely stick into the stumps, but rather bounce off.
I have this same problem with the 5 gpi tubes as well. Use them in Heritage 250's and have had the nocks fly back as well as the tubes come out of the shaft. I crimped the tubes as well and used some instant glue so secure them in as I wont ever take them out. Has worked so far. good luck

Stay away from them hard stumps they are arrow killers, I try to avoid shooting trees at all. If you got Judos find some clumps of grass or clods of dirt without rocks and let em have it, your arrows will love you for it.
If you get the 3 grain per-inch weight tubes in the 5/16 and the 3 grain in 9/32 they will slide inside each other and then crimp them togeather three times. This has worked for me so far.
USN, Went through the same thing years ago.Weight tubes and stumpin don't go together well.You can solve the nock problem by glueing
them in with epoxy.
Problem is the weight tubes won't hold up to serious stumpin. After a while the front end starts to break apart from all the hard impacts.The plastic just kind of disinigrates and then the tubes slide around inside the shaft along with all the broken pieces.
Much better option is the brass inserts with a collar.

Just a suggestion....instead of using weight tubes why don't you use a heavier point which will increase FOC ( a good thing I think). I shoot a modified Judo which consists of a 125 gr steel BH adapter glued inside a 145 gr field pt which is, in turn, glued inside a 145 gr judo. After glueing the BH adapter inside the field pt I grind the field pt down to the 5 degee tape so the judo will fit. When I'm done I end up with a 315 gr point. You can always make adjustments to get the judo to the desire wt.
There's a lot of reasons why I don't like weight tubes, one of which you've already mentioned. My elk set up is a 72 lb bow shooting 690 gr carbons so I had to come up with something to get a judo that matched my BH weight. Anyway...just a suggestion.

When I started to shoot carbons I put everything in them to get the weight up. I finally found that I could solve all the problems of weight tubes, weed wacker line, etc. simply by shooting arrows with more FOC. It might require you to go to a different size shaft in order to get the same shooting qualities but now I have arrows that don't loose nocks and penetrate a lot better than same weight arrows when using weight tubes, etc.
I found the same thing as Bill.Sold my old arrows and got new,stiffer shafts and put the weight on the front.
