Title: New Tall Tines
Post by: MountainTool21 on July 13, 2011, 09:23:00 PM
Wow guys, what a bow. I recently received this bow from Mr Wessel and I must say that from the grip thru the release, this bow is simply a joy to shoot. It sends my 615 grain CX Heritage 250 down range with authority and not a hint of sound. Specs: 60" TD recurve with Phenolic riser, myrtle limbs 54lbs @ 28" and custom grip. The grip is amazing. Better than any recurve I've held/shot. My second set of limbs are almost done and they are a dark stained snake skin.  (http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc219/MountainTool21/TallTines027.jpg)

Well Done! That phenolic riser is sharp. Dark bows just look so deadly. Congrats!

Friend
Talk about steady in the hand. This is my first (and not my last) phenolic riser. The added weight really helps to balance my bow arm pre and post release. First set of myrtle limbs as well. They are just beautiful. Brian did an amazing job bringing these limbs to life without making them stick out too much. Hard to put this bow down. It is strung right now so when I wake up for my midnight bite I can loosen a few arrows. Thinking about selling another bow or two to finance his new longbow.  :)  Andrew

I really like Brian's longbow. The grip is just as comfortable and the bow is even more quiet than his recurves. Beauty there you got

That bow looks awesome.  I love Phenolic risers on a hunting bow.

Andrew, the TT longbow is just like the TT recurves when it comes to comparing speed to others...fast!

Glad you like your new bow.  Those Phenolic risers are very, very tempting!

Shocked to see Steve O on a Talltines thread!

Anyway, I have a TT with two sets of limbs and it is a fine bow.
