I ordered two Big Jim bows a 58" Buffalo and a 56" Thunder Child both 51@27" I was not sure which design I would like/shoot the best. The TC arrived a couple months back and the Buffalo came this Monday.I snapped a few pics while out shooting the Buffalo bow this evening it sure is hard trying to figure out which one I like best. This Buffalo is cocobolo/snakewood riser with cocobolo/snakewood spliced limbs black horn tips/overlay. Sorry the pics aren't the best it's hard to really do the bow justice like most all of Jims bows both woods have really good grain to them.

Yummy.
Very nice
Very nice looking bow
I also have a Thunder Child 56" and just love it. I recently bought a great looking Buffalo from Danny Bows that has some awesome looking Bacote. It is 62" and a few pounds heavier than the TC. After shooting the buff for a few weeks I think for me the TC is my first choice. Both are fine bows.
So far since last fall I have taken two deer, a hog and a turkey with the TC. It's a great tree stand and ground blind bow at 56" and draws very smooth for a short bow.
I love the woods in that bow! Absolutely Stunning! Congrats!
elkken I am thinking about the same as you on the TC vs Buffalo bow. I am favoring the TC by just a touch right now I think the longer Buffalo is a bit easier to shoot overall(more forgiving) but the TC is so short and handy I just love it. I told myself I would keep my favorite sale the extra bow when I ordered them but I don't know if I am going to be able to do it or not :)
Another winner from the big guy. Must be a real dilemma to decide between your TC or Buffalo.
Man, I want one of those Buffalo bows so bad! Congrats and fine looking stick. :clapper:

Sweeeeeeeeeetttt !!
Steel ... I actually find the TC easier to shoot and I added a quiver to it for balance in the hand. Both zip an arrow. The Buff has a more substantial ( wider ) limb design than the TC and has a different feel in hand after the shot to me.
I plan on giving the Buff plenty of time and need to get it out in the woods shooting some stumps. I put a quiver on and then took it off so I need to play with that some more too. Adding the quiver to the TC instanly felt good but the Buff is a different feel. I can easily shoot it without the quiver, it feels good in the hand alone.
Both my bows are Bacote and very good look'n ... like little brother / big brother. Danny took very good care of the Buff !
Well which ever one you don't like just send my way!
That bow is beautiful. Congrats.
Really like these bows !
Great looking Bow there Cody, like the way you had Big Jim do the veneers. Have my Buffalo that I picked up from a fellow Trad Gang member. Great shooter and beautiful, but due soon for my Thunder Child delivery. Looking forward too receiving her and shooting.
SEXY!!!!
Beautiful!
Congrats! :wavey: :campfire:

Nice!!! I want a T/C bad.
WOW.....that's one beautiful bow. She looks sweet, heck she looks more than sweet, she looks sexy, real sexy.
Beautiful Buffalo for sure! I had both a Buff and Tc. I chose the Tc after shooting both for a couple of months. Both are great bows, kinda regret letting the Buff go now that I think about it. :banghead:
Great looking bows
make sure you don't put it on that crap all over the rock in the pics.
SHWEET............Enjoy the choosing process.

Beautiful...waiting on my Big Jim masterpiece.
I have been shooting the new Buffalo a few evenings now it shoots very well I am finding my groups are little tigher than with my Thunder Child. I am sure the longer length and more mass weight helps the Buffalo out. I still love the size and shape of the TC though I am just a short bow kind of guy I love those 54"/56" bows.
