Title: Back in the swing of things
Post by: Mike Gay on July 12, 2011, 03:43:00 PM
I'm a little embarrassed to admit this but until just the other day I've hadn't shot or hunted in several years.  However, I'm determined to get back in the swing of things.  I won't go into details about how I came to this sorry state but I'm hoping some of my fellow bowhunters might help me find my way out of this sad place.  I'm back to shooting some but having moved to a new state I am trying to figure out the hunting. I'm living in NW Florida and am thinking of giving Eglin a try this fall.

So what do you say guys?  Anyone willing to show me the ropes, offer some advice or just fling a few arrows?  Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Mike, i am glad you on here.  This is a good place to warm the hear and get lots of motivation from.

Stay positive and keep shooting.

Go to some local shoots if you can find them.

I look forward to hearing about your new adventures.

Jack

Mike welcome back!  Don't know if I can help you as for hunting in Florida, but there a few of us along the  gulf coast that get together every now and then to shoot.  We shoot in our backyard ranges at times and you would be welcome to come and shoot with us if your in the area.

Mike,

I live nowhere near Florida. But I wish you the best in returning to trad bow hunting. I hope you find some people close by to practise with and get some tips for hunting locations. Let us know how it goes.

I've been away from hunting for 3-4 years and am trying to work myself back into it, too.
