Those are some beauty's for sure! Wish that river cane grew up here by me. They sure make some purty arrows. Mike
Very cool!
Good lookin arrows.
Look awesome, now get them bloody for us and send in the pics bud !!! Did you weigh them, just wondering what they came in at ?
thanx fellows! if i remember right, they came in between 502 - 528gr. i hope these work with the bow he's working on. i usually make my custom cane arrows to match a certain bow's design and poundage. if they don't work, i can always make more.
Nice work.
Mighty shiny
Sweet looking arrows there. Are they hollow?
Very nice arrows. Hope they bring home the bacon.
Very nice arrows. Hope to see them get some red on them.

Nice job on the arrows.!
Very Nice!
Those are nice. What part of dc you from?
thanx again fellows!
mv, river cane has thin walls and is very hollow which makes them lighter than other species of cane.
city, i live in abbeville, sc. are you close by?
Good work!
Yeah I'm real close. I live in honea path and work in greenwood.
Cade, Those are some good looking arrows. Should shoot very well.
chris is a master at making cane arrows. he wrote the book on it, literally!
what happened to yer website, chris??
Last fall I gathered about 100 shafts that are right at 3/8" at the base, and am looking for a step by step pictorial how-to article on making cane arrows. Anyone got the info?
hey rob, the fellow handling my website wasn't making enough money doing that kind of stuff so he shut that part of his business down. i'm looking into finding another host. have you been working on any cane arrows?
blackhawk, sent you a pm.
here's another set i made for testing. i friend of mine has a chinese hornbow that he's having a hard time finding an arrow that will fly well out of it. the arrows are sasa bamboo and are spined at 50#, 60#, and 70#.

Nice work.
Love rivercane! Natures carbon arrow.
Those look great. Do you get the river cane around here? I want to make me some since I'm almost done with my bow.
Chris, are those river cane or switch cane? The diameter looks small for river cane.
i believe these are river cane. they have a bigger diameter than the pic shows. these are pushing 1/2" or a little better at the point end and a little over 5/16" at the nock end.
You do some very nice arrows, hope to have some someday.
nice arrows i need to learn this skill
What is your process for attaching the feathers to the cane?
i glue them on with a fletching jig and then burn to shape. then i wrap with black silk to make sure they never come off. i wrap all the fletching tips because i shoot off my knuckle most of the time.
I guess my question should have been, what glue are you using?
Great job. Those are very nice looking arrows, I'm sure your buddy will love them.
i usually use duco cement.
