a day in the country
Nope that was a link. You can check your post before posting by clicking the "Preview Post" button below the message window.
This is a super easy way to post pictures.
The site is called Imagelinky, http://www.imagelinky.com/
You will still need to resize your pictures before uploading them, but this site will allow you to skip the whole photobucket transfer step.
1.) Resize all pictures to be posted to 640 pixels wide
2.) Open http://www.imagelinky.com/
3.) Select the "Browse" button on the Imagelinky site. A window will open.
4.) Go to the place on your computer where the picture is stored, select the picture file and click the open button.
5.) From the Imagelinky window click the "Upload" button. Three boxes will appear.
6.) Copy everything from the third box "Forum Link"
7.) Paste everything that was copied into the Trad Gang message box and select "Preview Post"
The picture should have transferred. Repeat steps 3 – 6 to add more pictures.
You have successfully posted a direct link. A reader can click on it, which opens up a new window with your pic in it. Then the reader has to click the close button to get it off the screen.
If you move down to the bottom of the drop-down menu at PB next to your picture, you will see two IMG codes, one for full size and one for thumbnail. The regular IMG code is fine for all images up to 640 pixels wide. I puts the pic right into your post, no extra steps.

Use the thumbnail code for your huge-mo photos so folks can see them in all their radiant glory. You can see the pic in the thumbnail, but to see the detail, you must click on it. Look to see if there is further enlargement available once it opens, unless you don't care for the photo.

Killdeer :)
Is that a painting with a Compton sign out front? Looks like a nice place to be.
I've read this a 1000 times but it's still Greek to me.

Maybe we could all kick in a donation to get the necessary software to make it easy to post pics. :bigsmyl: :archer2:

at first it does seem hard to post them. especially if your not a computer person and all you do is surf the net. once you figure it out though, you will see just how easy it really is. don't give up. don
