Post by: happy1 on July 08, 2011, 07:16:00 PM
Any one shooting the Tall Tines longbow?  What length do they come in and how do the shoot?

Was just shooting mine a few minutes ago. Mine is 62"s and I'm pretty sure I shoot it more accurate than my 60" curves.

I know there are 62" and 64", not sure if there is a 60 or 66".

They are smooth and fast and have a great grip.  You can click these links to get more info and pics.

I took 1 for a test drive at the Kalamazoo Expo this winter (64" 54@28) and it was a dream!

When you can pick up a bow you've never shot and put a dozen arrows right where you're looking that says something!

Thanks,

Josh

I love mine! It has become my go-to, can't miss hunting bow. I like it so much I am gonna get in line for another set of limbs  :)  It's heading to mulie country in 53 days...but who's counting   :coffee:

Mine is 64" 52 at 28 and I draw to nearly 30". It is very smooth all the way through and the grip is comfortable. I am currently shooting heavy fir arrows getting ready for my hunt and it sends them down range with a quiet thump.

Ryan how far are you drawing the shorter 62"?

When I was shooting with Ryan up at bear camp, I could have sworn he said he had a 27 1/2" draw.

Love the woods is your TT Steve. I would like to see an all phenolic with black glass longbow. The recurves the Brain make like that are sweet.

Yeah Jason..what Steve said is accurate. When I shoot with a clicker it's nearing 28"s. I'm not currently using the clicker and am likely around 27-27 1/2.....depending on the shot?

You're right about the all black bow..... I call that a "ninja" bow. I have black limbs for my phenolic r/c riser on order too. I've got those coming in the high 50 pound range for bigger game. Sounds like you already know what you want Jason??

Jason--Macassar riser and Myrtle limbs.  I'd not hesitate one moment on a ninja style, those thing are bulletproof, dead in the hand, and ROCKET an arrow.
