Title: Abe's Cari-Bow Lynx
Post by: R. W. Mackey on July 08, 2011, 11:28:00 AM
Always said I'd never shoot a longbow, too much hand shock, too slow, didn't like the way they looked,  Then I saw one of Abe's Wolvereen's at the PBS banguet last year. Long story short, tried one out and ordered one.  Just got this in, and does it shoot.  This ain't no ordinary long bow, he refers to it as a Hybrid, has alot of reflex in the limbs. I have several very nice, top of the line Recurves, this bow will shoot with the best of them.  It's the Lynx model, 60" 54# at my draw, Black and White Ebony Veneers, Yew core, Macassar Ebony Riser, Buf Horn tips, two piece take down. These are the pics Abe sent before shipping. The way I see it, I'm still not shooting a Longbow, it's a Hybrid.   :goldtooth:  RW.

Have a 49 pound Slynx and love it. Very light in the hand and a joy to shoot.Seems like I shoot mine best with my GN quiver on it.

I held a cribow of the first time a couple of months back and it was a lynx...the grip was amazing....I would get one just for that....The fact it shot and looked great were iceing.  Abe makes a fine stick no doubt!

Thanks for the great comments guys. I agree with everything said, The grip, the craftsmanship, the performance are all first class. And if you think it's possible, the Bow is even beter looking than in the pictures.  The veneers on the belly side have even more figure than what you see on the back. Very satisfied with the bow and the experience of bying it.  I probably changed my mind 3 times or more from the original order, Abe took it all in stride. If you get a chance to shoot one, by all means do,it could change the way you feel about Longbows too, and if your already a fan of Longbows you are in for a real treat.  RW.
