Alright guys for this weeks challenge we will shoot 4 arrows in two different positions from 15 yards.Practice all you need.
Two arrows while shooting from one knee and
two arrows shooting from both knees.

Here's mine. I shot this one when it was barely light enough to see. I couldn't see my circles, so I just aimed at the center of the plate. Not too bad, three 8s and a 6 for a 30. I'm not sure what that little tear is from on the left side. These were my first 4 shots (no practice shots). I might have poked the plate while pulling the arrows.

i have to sit out this week. kneeling for just one shot last week really hurt. i have a chronic problem with one leg that is very painful. i was just in the hospital this past fathers day with an infection and i would rather not push it. don

Hi folks! Results after week 5 (I've not posted any wk 6 scores yet). A real shoot-out going on between Looper and gto_guy, and lots more great shooting from the rest of you! I'm taking credit for lowest score for shooting all 5 weeks :-P
I'm sorry to see that a few folks have flaked off--they are welcome to come back and shoot anytime! Just post in whichever is the CURRENT week so I'll see it!

What bows are you guys using for these shoots? I'm using a Hill Halfbreed, 51#@31", and 60-65 surewoods with 145 grain tips.
I have been shooting a Hill style that I made. I posted pictures of it in the HH bug thread. 64" 52#@28" shooting Easton GG 2016s with 225gr points.

I shot this 24 at 15 yards kneeling as per the instructions (1x8, 2x6, 1x4)... :help:

This is my score for the first challenge, a 26. It's foggy because I took the camera out of conditioned air into 90 degree heat.
This is the "face the opposite direction and turn at the waist and shoot", shot. ROUND 1.

I made it home from the hospital so I decided to go ahead and shoot this weeks shots.
I did all of this under the influence of the pain killer Vidcodin. (My excuse)..lol
It's a good thing I took more than two pictures because these are the only two that show the whole plate..lol My aim was really off with my camera..lol

I have been shooting a 51# osage selfbow by Steve Willis and POC arrows, 500 grains total and that's with 190 grain points. Over 15% FOC.

Since I found out we could catch up, I've been trying to do that. But my shooting has been like crap lately and I've been trying to figure out why, that's why I got behind. I was shooting 4 arrows and missing the plate entirely! I will still have a flier one out of 4, but it's better now.
Bona I'm seeing 3x8 and 1x4 for a 28. Your arrow at 5 o'clock is certainly cutting the 8-line? Not too shabby and I'm glad you're shooting better! A selfbow and POC...that is pretty dang trad lol!

Hey someone remind me, how many weeks are we going, and what night do you want to see the scores?
Maybe 10 weeks, and post the results on Saturday night? Some folks might not have time to shoot until Saturday. The winners could post the new contest some time on Sunday.

I'm out for a while folks. Work and has me gone most of the time. Thanks for letting me shoot with you all.
You know, maybe we can go for longer, 12 or even 16 weeks. People can catch up at any time, but if they post after the deadline for the week, they're out of the running for winning that week. They'd still be in for the overall win. That way, if an injury or ailment lays someone up for a week or two, they can still get back in it.
For the overall winner, maybe we can have Mudd make a hat for us to use as the prize. The winner gets to use the hat for the duration of the next contest. Or it could be a quiver, or an armguard, or whatever.
We could also have a specific thread with the overall scores posted in it. And, in that thread, have direct links to the current and previous shoots.

First a shout-out to BCWV--before I joined the USAF, I was a WV native (eastern panhandle) and been all over the state. I'm glad you're working, and come back and shoot (you can make-up prior weeks anytime, just go back to that week to find the scenario).
I'm posting week 6 scores a tad early because I'm heading out of town again. I hope to add more Sunday night or Monday.
