I read the Habu threads with great interest. I was intrigued by low key comments by obvious Habu fans that weren't pushy. I wasn't convinced I needed one but I had Mr. Cox put me on his build list. I figured I had 2 years to make up my mind and strike gold.
Maxwell noted my interest and offered me an opportunity to speed up the discovery. Yesterday I was fist-bumping trees on my 3-d range I was so excited with this new (to me) Habu!
I thought if I liked this bow I would take my name off the build list, No such luck. I like it so much I may need a back-up!
I sold 2 risers and a pair of Bear TD limbs to make this purchase a bit more guilt free.
If you haven't tried a Habu....?
I have discovered it is possible for a wooden riser to shoot with or better than a metal riser!
Been shooting Chris's bows since 99'.Many bows have come and gone since.
Bowild,
What Habu are you shooting?
I want to compare Chris's triple carbon hycurve to his triple carbon longbow.I've heard very positive things about his triple carbon hycurve.
Congrats 'Roy' on your find.
Planning for gold can be tough and helps to have a lot of luck.
Love the LB limbs with triple carbon. Unfortunately, the triple carbon hycurve has been on my mind for a couple of years now. Reminds me of my doggy. She follows from room to room and from inside to outside apparently afraid she is going to miss something.
Show us some eye candy of the your bocote dream.
