Been really enjoying how the Whip shoots. It is so light in the hand. So now I'm looking for a strap-on quiver. Any recommendations for a smaller, say 4 arrow, quiver that won't weight it down too much?
Snag, just send me that Toelke and you won't have to worry about getting a quiver for it!!! HA HA Flint
It threw the balance off for me. Had to use a backquiver instead.
David, Although I use Great Northern's Sidekick side quiver, I did talk to Dan about this subject once and he reccomended the Great Northern strap-on longbow quiver which is made I believe from the same frame/hood as the Sidekick.
Just come down to the shoot at Polson this weekend and ask Dan. Love his bows.
I'll be the guy with the blacked out Schaeffer Silvertip with rattler backs, probably shooting in 3rd place :D
no bow quiver on the whip... nooooo
David
That Whips way to "purty" to put anything ugly on her(LOL) Put the best you can on it....here's a picture of that below :D
PS....other colors available.

Send a picture to Bill at Zipper and he can make you the most beautiful and functional matching quiver you can find.
Am using a medium Big Jim's and it works fine. Would like to try a 5 arrow, winged Eagles Flight at some point in the future to move the shafts back more in line with the lower limb though.
I have been using a Skookum single arrow Quiver and a back quiver. Does not seem to affect the balance of the bow.
I use the GN strap on as Dan suggests. Works very well on both my 1pc Whip or my 2pc TD Whip. Any good quality quiver should work well though. Dan does make an awesome bow. snag good luck
John, the Kanati is one I have considered.
I purchase a Slim Jim from Anneewakee Archery and really like it. John's quivers are very well made and has a very nice method of attaching to the bow...easy on and off and secure.
big jim quiver
Here is a nice little horsehide quiver. It's one of my favorites.

Here's another one with the wing attachment as Green mentioned.

Good luck picking one, Snag! I'm thinking about a small one too, but the choices are ALL good. Might be a coin flip!
A friend offered to send me a couple to try out on this bow. This will make it easier!
snag ..do yourself a favor an look at Big Jim's bow quivers..the small holds 4 arrows "good for 4 field tips" gets to tight with broadheads but the med would work with B heads..I have one of the small ones on my son's "Reilly hood" long bow it's very nice..
Scott
Just too a look at Big Jim's site. They look good. After I try the ones my friend is sending me I'll reconsider which way to go. Thanks, David
I have a strap on mini Boa ( 4 arrow ) on a PLGA and on a Pronghorn. The leather hood model.
They are very tight and quiet.
John
Great Northern.
A Kanati Pro is what went on my new Shrew.
Hi David,
Great Northern! They have a four and five arrow strap on. Dan knows his bows, it may pay listen to him. Anyway, I use the five arrow on all my bows, including my Tolke. I keep buying and testing the others, but haven't found any that compare.
Thanks, I have always used a bolt-on for my Blacktail TD's. So this is new to me. But the GN does seem to have a solid look to it. A friend is sending me a couple to try out.
I thought you were just going to shoot targets with that anyway :saywhat:
get one the can be used left or right in case you don't like it :bigsmyl:
Targets come in different forms.....haha
What Outwest just said:

You will not find a lighter, more sturdy, better quiver IMO.
Plus its from 3 Rivers, so if you don't like it, they will take it back no questions asked. :-)
Ditto on the Great Northern strap on
I keep coming back to this one having used many of the others....
Shoot straight, Shinken
:archer2:
The EFA's are my choice when it comes to the mini quivers, holds arrows well and lighter than the others.
Great Northern here too for all my longbows.
