On a recent trip to Branson, MO I talked my wife into a quick trip to Nixa, home of Black Widow Archery. Roger, Vernon and the rest of the BW crew went out of their way to explain their operation and to demonstrate the actual bowmaking process. I came away impressed. If any of you find yourself in that part of the country, make sure you take time to stop. I will warn you, however, that you should think twice before you take them up on their offer to shoot their equipment. It just might cost you a doller or two. I didn't leave with a bow, but Im seriously considering purchasing a PL-V or PL-X TD longbow. Just got to get my coins together.
I will go someday!!
I'm looking for a reason to take a trip out that way, so I can go to Nixa again!

Everyone needs to visit Branson at least once. I would have never thought it, but I actually had a good time there as well. I great family destination and only 30 minutes from Nixa, MO.
I've been to Branson... that's what took me to Nixa. I already had my first BW, then went down to visit a family member that sung in one of the Branson shows. I was excited to find after I got there that BW was only 30 minutes north! I actually had some Thanksgiving dinner with some of the BW guys in the back of their shop ... in 2008, I think.
I dreamed, this the other night!!!! :) marco
I can't imagine. If I ever went I would have to buy a new bow.
Stopped there 2 times. Bought 1 the 1st stop but saw the 1 I ordered later after the 2nd stop.
The people there are a pleasure to visit with. Toured the entire operation.
The "Pilgrimage" is one worth the effort. The cost is something you must bear.... LOL
You will not find a better bunch than the widow guys..One day I hope to visit there shop, Great guys.
