Title: Drew CO, Unit 11 for Pronghorn
Post by: Bowmania on June 29, 2011, 10:31:00 AM
I applied for Unit 11 thinking I had no chance to draw and didn't want to draw because of other obligations.  Now, I'm kind of stuck.  My buddy, Barry Smith gave me a couple of ideas.  Can anyone else give me some direction?

I'm surprised you don't see this kind of thing come up more often.

You can always turn a tag back in and reclaim your points in CO for at least residents, might need to check if that is true for non-residents. That area is a lot of high desert and mostly blm mixed with private. be careful some of the private has no fence and game wardens watch the area carefully to make sure you don't trespass. Best success I have had in hunting pronghorn is to find a good waterhole and setup a natural blind over it. They are real spooky about not coming in if they see something new there.

I have 11 PP's now for Antelope in CO.  Good luck on your hunt!

That's a good unit for sure.
