4 Arrows. 4 Distances. 4 Shooting positions.
Arrow 1: 15 yards, standing
Arrow 2: 14 yards, crouched
Arrow 3: 13 yards, seated
Arrow 4: 12 yards, kneeling
No double point system this round :nono: . The number your arrow hits is the number you score. Warm-up and practice are fine of course.
That's it. Enjoy :)
I got it done before the heat got up...lol

I think it best to make your 1st shot the one that counts if you're shooting live game....lol
God bless, Mudd
PS: Apologies! The score of 32 that I posted earlier is incorrect. The correct score is 26.
Thank you Osage61 for pointing out my error.
I like the tight group myself. And they were all killing shots too!
Mudd's arrows make me wanna try 4 fletch. those are some good looking arrows
I would like to publicly apologize for a mistake I made on adding up my score.
Thanks to Osage61 for catching it for me.
I corrected the score on my post.
Please forgive me. This was a 2,001,198, 303rd mistake in 2011 but hopefully the next to the last one for this week.
God bless,Mudd
Well that was a bit more in line with what I've been practicing. Shot 8, 10, 8, 4 for a total of 30. My best scoring round so far.

Okay, here's mine. Not bad for all having different point weights. Two 10s, one 8, one 6 for a 34.

I won't bother with a picture this week if that's alright. I'm going to be working out of town this week so I shot this evening. I ended up with a score of 26.
I got a 26

Sorry to hear that RAU. Hope you heal well.

Come on, fellows and felletes, let's see some more groups.
Going to shoot mine tomorrow on Canada Day! Maybe that will bring me some luck :D
Sorry I haven't posted a score for this week. Wheat harvest is in full swing and it was 107 today with 40 mph winds so when I do get a break I head for the A/C. I'll try and shoot tomorrow. Good shooting guys!
Imabowman.... Score 34. (http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd491/rsgeconard/Trad%20Gang/fifth.jpg)

i was out for week 4 while i healed from an infection. for week 5 i decided to use my self made bbo instead of my bear grizzly. i named the bow "miss colleen" after my wife. i included a couple pics of the bow as well as the quiver i made. hope you like them. my score is a 24. don (http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h356/donny-szymanski/tradgang%20fun%20shoot/tradgangfunshootweek5002.jpg) (http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h356/donny-szymanski/tradgang%20fun%20shoot/tradgangfunshootweek5003.jpg) (http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h356/donny-szymanski/miss%20colleen%20boo%20backed%20osage/tradgangfunshootweek5005.jpg) (http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h356/donny-szymanski/miss%20colleen%20boo%20backed%20osage/tradgangfunshootweek5006.jpg) (http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h356/donny-szymanski/miss%20colleen%20boo%20backed%20osage/tradgangfunshootweek5007.jpg)

Don I love your bow and quiver! Nice work!!
Thanks for sharing those with us.
God bless,Mudd
Sorry for no pics this week. I'm on my way out of town for a getaway with my bride. I loved this week's challenge, and I tried to make it even more exciting by seeing how quickly I could get off all 4 shots. My dad ran the stopwatch while I jumped from one position to the next. I shot 2x8 and 2x6 for a 28 this week. The kicker was that I got all 4 shots off in 15.0 seconds. You can't beat a back quiver for fast reloads. :)
After I shot the challenge, wanted to see how much faster I could do the 4 shots. Fastest time was 13.1 seconds, but I only scored a 20 on that effort.
OK guys
Got My Brand spankin new and very sexy Moab yesterday.
Shot my score tonight and man not only is it a good lookin bow but it shoots great,
week 5 score is a 30
I touched the 10 ring but it didnt cut, just the way my luck goes.

"You must cut the paper plate for it to count, touching but no cut= no score for that arrow." No cut = no points on my flyer (crouched).
I've got a 20.

- Fellas for Week 5 I've got gto_guy with a fantastic 36 followed closely by Looper and Imabowman with 34's.
- If anyone can beat that PDQ they can compose Week 6's scenario--but it's looking like gto_guy!
- I'm going out of town for the weekend so I'll post the spreadsheet as soon as I get back (Mon night or Tuesday.
- Happy 4th of July Americans! And to the rest of you...have a great weekend :-)
Here's mine for week 5. I missed week 4 as I was walleye fishing and tent camping on Rainy Lake on the MN/Canada border.
20 pts. Couldn't get my cell phone to send the pic w/ the arrows in the target.

Have a Safe and Happy 4th of July everyone!!
Brian
Remember that if you miss a week, go ahead and shoot it. I guess we're doing a running total for all of them. Winner gets a bow from each of the losers :)
Didn't do too good this week. (http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i56/salemons/2011-07-02WEEK5.jpg)
Got a 16. Had to move from the basement to the garage to get the distance and the lighting was poor. Hard to see the target and I just plain shot bad.

i guess i better start padding my scores. you guys trust me don't cha? don
Shelly finally got home and shot her Quinn. Practice was really good but scoring shots fell apart kind of like mine. (http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i56/salemons/2011-07-02Shelly5.jpg)
Got a good 6 & a broke line for another 6 & a 4 for a total of 16.
As a sidebar, Shelly and I havn't shot since the 3 days of Compton's. Guess we're kind of rusty.
Looks like gto-guy won this round.
looks like fun
Jeffro, you can join in any time. If you want, you can go back and shoot the rounds you missed. The winner of each round gets to pick the next set of shots. We're trying to pick challenging shots that might be used in the field while hunting.
I was unable to shoot the last round, I think it's the one with the position being laying down on one's back, now I can't do it because my back is out, I guess I'll have to take a 0, sorry to let all of you down. i went on to this round, hope it's O.K.
I have been practicing a lot lately trying to concentrate real hard on the spot and form,
I am finding out that too much practice is not good for me, these were taken after only shooting six arrows to warm up, it's a 32 total.
The arrow that just cut the plate top left was the sitting down position, guess I'll have to practice that more often.
njloco, post that in the current round, (ROUND 6). They requested that so it would be easier to get people caught up. Just let them know which round you are posting for.
I need to get caught up also.
