Title: Fletching an arrow question
Post by: J. Holden on June 22, 2011, 05:57:00 PM
I have read that fletching LW feathers in a RW fletcher works.  My question is this, I have a RW Arizona EZ Fletch, if I fletch an arrow in it with LW feathers, will I have a RW helical on the feathers or will they fletch with a LW helical.  Any thoughts?  Thanks fella's, just tryin' to save some feathers...

Yeah, I was afraid of that.  Maybe I just need to not be so tight with my money and buy the right equipment.  Sometimes it's just not worth it.

If money is the problem, go see if the geese are moulting.

Pop for one of the new "plastic" single fletchers. They can put a helical on your feathers and one day you'll want that. You might even find a used one on the Classifieds for cheap.
If you don't like it or get tired of the sport you can always sell or trade it.

I think I bought mine from Lancaster Archery for $28. Money well spent.
