Title: string nocks
Post by: cbCrow on June 22, 2011, 11:43:00 AM
I had a friend call this morning and asked a question I could not answer. It is "how far below the arrow nock do you put the second brass nock". I've used tie ons for so long I really did not want to tell him wrong. I told him I know a great resource and would call him later. Help!  :dunno:

I use tie ons too but I would say 1/16 should give the nock a little wiggle room so it`s not pinched and still doesn`t have enough room to move to cause flight issues

I snap on an arrow nock then have the second nocking point tied to the bottom of it.

I also only use tie on's. But he should put an arrow on the string and then place the nock so it is not to snug then crimp it on. Or you can suggest he ties nocks on (easier on the fingers)and can be removed and adjusted easier.JMHO
