I saw a thread on here a couple of weeks ago that showed some pics of swirly paint on the arrows under the cresting and loved the look of it so decided to work out how to do it.I am still experimenting with the technique but love the effect. Thanks again to this site and the members for the info avail to the rest of us with less talent.
Cheers KIM

That is a awsome job my friend. Widow
I really like these, nice work, or is it play?
thats cool, if you dont mind me asking how did you go about doing that?
Dont mind at all mate it would be wrong to get ideas from others and then not in turn pass them on.
I apply an undercoat of white and then in a cut off coke bottle put some 25 deg c water with a bit of borax.Add small drops of humbrol hobby paint to the surface and gently swirl them around on the film on the water. Then dip the shaft in spinning it and moving it around as it goes in.Blow gently on the surface of the water to move the paint out of the way and pull the shaft out of the water.Done..
Cheers KIM
PS Real good examples on youtube used on guitars
