Hello trad gang, i look a lot in the "search" function without Succes, i just begin to shoot some arrows with my long time time dream bow, a A riser BEAR Kodiak TD with the Compass ... with the set of limbs "fascor dacron only" that made a 60 high bow for 50 pounds ... FOr a newby like me the no center shot riser is something completely new but this thing shoot where you look !
Can somebody of you traganger can help me to get the right brace height of this very good bow please ?
David,I like mine around 8" but you can go from 7 1/2 to 8 1/2.I really like how the bow shoots but for sure with some Rose Oak limbs the overall performances will go to the next level.
Hello Felix, thank you i'm going to fix that but the rose oak are for later !
finaly are you coming to the Arc trap in Levens tomorow and the day after tomorow ???
David,I am sorry but I amn't able to join you.I'll try to meet you around the mid of July.keep you posted.Have fun.Felix
Felix is correct -- start at 8" and see how it shoots. I have 3 Bear TD bows right now and all are set at 8.5"
I have Rose Oak #3 limbs (53# at 29") on my wood A riser and it shoots great -- smooth and VERY fast.
You have a dream bow there. Enjoy it.
Joe
thank you i'm going to i promise !!!
Hello Again, one more question for the Miller Calculator, do you have an idea about the window value to enter for this bow ?
Thanks
david
David , for me , I don't use the calculator. If your draw is 28" and the 50# , a .400 arrow will work with a heavy head or .500 with lighter head. My son shoots 49# ( same bow) and uses Heritage 150's or Beman .500's.
I shoot Beman MFX 600s with 100 grain broadhead and 75 grain brass insert out of A Risers with #3 limbs. I shoot 500 MFX with 125 grain broadhead and 100 grain brass insert.
ok thanks gentlemen, so what do you think about a 35/55 Gold tip traditionnal with standard aloy insert and a 200 grs Fields point ? it's look like it's the combinaison flying great bare shaft but it's quite surprising (for me  )
