I've bid on many of Bernie's wife's afghans on the St Judes forum for years and never won one till this year. Just received mine.....DOUBLE WOW!!!
I'm kicking myself in the BUTT for not winning many more in the previous actions. These things are true works of art.
I will win another next year God willing.
Who else is has been lucky enough to win one???
im not an owner of any afghans that miss rose has created but i am fortunate enough for bernie to invite me to his home to shoot and hunt and have made miss rose's aquaintance. it makes me happy to call bernie and miss rose friends. they are both gems . rv
:wavey:
I have a few, and won a baby Afghan in the auction last year. As ApplePie and his wife had twins, Miss Rose graciously made a second Afghan for the other baby.
Bernie and Rose are a matched set of stellar human beings. They consistently go above and beyond, doing their level best to make the world better. We are all blessed to have them in our midst.
Bernie will say that I laid it on a little thick. I believe that I could get a few thousand people to attest to the honesty of my nature and assessments.

My bad...sorry Killie!!! :banghead: :biglaugh:
:bigsmyl: :jumper:
I won one !
I will next year.
Yep......Got one or two too! Bernie and Rose are great folks....the finest! Rose made us an afgan when my son John Davis was born. We sure appreciate it!
I got one. X2 what killy said. DB
Bless all of you. Accolades from the likes of the above posters is truly meaningful to us both. I'll even just be grateful for the kind words from all of you, and not questions what might be "EXCESSES" - LOL - at least for now ;)
Rose enjoys making the afghans (and I am so proud of them and her talent), and we truly do enjoy what little bit that we can do for the kids and for our friends.
BTW, Terry, what did you do "bad" to Killie??? It's not nice to fool "Mother Nature", you know - :D ;)
maybe next year! :wavey: Hi Bernie
I was very fortunate to win one during last year's auction. It is very much treasured! I need to win another one for my wife.
I know you tried, PON, and I remember that, ronp. Glad to hear it is treasured and looking to win another. Best of luck to ALL who will try next year (for the kids).
I don't have one bit would still like to thank Bernie for the donation, but I got to ask where are the pics?
If you're looking for pics of the afghans you still can find this years "crop" on both the listing and bidding forums for the St. Jude auction, here on TG If you are wanting pics of these great "gangers" swaddled in theirs, you'll pretty much have to ask them, I'm afraid - LOL. That'd be neat to see. Thank you for the thanks also.
Here's a sample or two. This one is a Lap Robe, on it's way "down Under" to Australia for Ben Maher, even as we speak:

And this nifty little (2 piece) number is on it's way to Karen, Doug Cambell's lovely wife, in the great state of MT:

Thanks to those two and all the other generous winners of SJ2011 (oh, and sorry, Terry, I couldn't resist the urge & golden opportunity - GO ST. JUDE AUCTION :archer:
Oh, and here is TGer, Preston Roberson's nephew, Erin, wrapped in his Uncle and Aunt's "house gift" from us during a deer hunt at their place:

Even up and coming young traditional archers love Rose's afghans (NO, she Does Not sell them!)
I have one on the way.
I won several a few years ago. I will say I'm blessed to own them. And when your snuggled on the couch there is certainly a special aura those beautiful things put off.
God bless Bernie and Rose!
Todd
Thanks for the sample pics Bernie. I will have to try harder next year to win one :bigsmyl: :clapper:
Multiple winner, multiple years, but this was a down year for me in the afghan battles. Watch out next year though! I love Rose's work and cherish the ones I own and the ones I gave for gifts are greatly appreciated. Rose is a true artist,Bernie is OK too! :bigsmyl:
I herd that, owlbait - LOL Actually I agree with the part about Rose but I might have to question your judgement on the second part - :p
I really do appreciate how all of you respond to Rose' afghans, it means a great deal to me, as well as to her. Thank you one and all.
I'm a multiple owner. The first one a few years ago was promptly confiscated by my daughter as soon as it arrived.
I won another for myself the next year and took it to my cabin where it would be safe from her.
Just received afghan number three in this years event. We'll see if I am able to hang on to this one.
Every one of them is a work of art!
I'm in the club. I've got one or two.
They are nice.
