I made an armguard. Not anything spectacular by any means but it will be functional. I'm looking for info on where to get some elastic cord which I'm assuming is 1/8" (about the size of a boot lace).
I've checked all the local shops and stores around me and googled "elastic cord" but can't seem to pin down a good source.
Thanks

It is called Shock Cord.
Good luck!

I get mine at fabric stores here. I think it's called hancocks.
-
Most fabric or craft stores carry it.
-
An ACE hardware should carry it. Or even some HD or Lowes

Google "Annapolis Performance sailing" click on "line", scroll down to "shock cord" and you have anything you want, by the foot.

Thanks everyone for those VERY quick responses!
I did order from APS Thanks Buckwheaties!
All the other suggestions I checked into except ACE. I'll check them for a piece to finish this project.

You dont have to use 1/8". Here is what i use

Its is thiner and i braid it. it makes for a nice look and the extra strech with the braid alows for streching around a coat.
Just thought i would thorugh out some more options for you.

wtpops, never thought of that. It looks nice! I'll keep it in mind.
