Hi there I have an old black bear and a newer grizzly both in 45# i was just wondering what weight arrows do these bows like shooting light or heavy, high or low Foc ect? All opions welcome carbon, alloy or wood.

I have only shot high Foc heavy arrows out of hill bows so I have no knowledge on recurves. Any help regarding gpp ect will be much appreciated.

Sambar, you should be fine with any weight arrow you choose to shoot.I have shot 9-10 GPP standard FOC arrows out of them as well as heavy, higher FOC ones and if properly tuned, they all shot well.

I agree. As long as they're tuned it really doesn't matter.
If I were in your shoes I'd go with 3555 GT Trads with 145 tip up front starting out and see how it goes from there. Full length. I think that might get you in the 9-10 gpp area depending on your draw length and shelf cut.
My Griz is 50# @ 28 and I draw 29 and mine shoot pretty good.

What would be the best size vanes to use I shoot 5 inch feathers but want to shoot of an elevated rest and have a few arrows with vanes for wet weather

That depends on your arrow tuning. The better tuned your arrow the less need for flight stabilization.
