Decided I needed an Arm Guard after series of odd bruises and cherries developed on my forearm :biglaugh:
So here are a couple pics of one I through together this afternoon...

I'd love to take one of those critters one day with a bow but haven't found out where they are hiding.
(sorry about the previously too large pic)
Looks awsome... Is it carved, burned or drawn?... Can't tell Dom the pics on my phone
GREAT artwork, Lee!
That's really an outstanding job.
Guy
It was traced in with a modeling tool and then worked again as it dried...painted the Megaloceros with black Tandy leather dye then added the darker mottling brown to mimic the caves of Lascaus in France and then dabbed the whole piece with a mix of yellow/tan leather dye.
Thanks for the kind words Guy...hope things are well with you.
Tha's a nice afternoon's work right there! Beautiful armguard.
Beautiflul gaurd, Lee.
Stan
Outstanding work!

It's going well, Lee. Thanks. How's that young drummer of yours doing?
I figured you were basing the art on Lascaux. You did an outstanding job of it. I especially like the boldness of the animal and the cave wall mottling.
Aw, heck... I like the whole thing!
Guy
Nice work!
Nice work!
Beautiful job. Thanks for sharing!
Very nice!!
Please repost pic to correct size.
Thanks guys
Really like it!
It's something special when someone can "throw" together an arm guard on an afternoon. That would be a two month project for me I bet :biglaugh: Very nice Lee, it looks great !
Cool!!
Very cool! I made one very similar the other day but I haven't got the leather tooling part down yet......you get bonus points for cool art work.
Thanks for all the kind words folks...much appreciated.
Nice job!
very nice work......, I spent my yesterday mowing grass....I like your project better.....
Beautiful work! You should be selling some of those!

Nice work.

Wow, folks are more than kind with your comments.
@levibear, no...didn't make it to Compton (probably regret missing that but...) Orders? That sounds like work :biglaugh: I could probably be talked into a trade or two...
Thanks again guys, much appreciated.

Shakes, nice work...anything from Gramps is always enjoyed. My two boys got home from a trip yesterday and they were both "fighting" over the arm guard til i walked in and told it was for me and not them...LOL
:archer:
Well, being such a nice Dad...I will likely just set them both up with the leather and pieces and let them run wild with their own ideas. It's best if they get used to making all their own gear anyways and no better time than the present to learn how.
Thanks again~
That Works Even Better!! gives the Imaginations a Stretch AND Lets them Hone their Leather Working Skills!!
Very well done :)
Love it, want one :)
