http://www.sitkagear.com/blog/2011/06/14/No-Regrets-Spring-Video-Short.aspx
This is a link to a short video done by a fellow Nebraskan (think he now lives in SD, but he grew up in NE!), a recent traditional convert, and one heckuva young photographer/videographer and bowhunter on top of that. I think you'll like this 4-min. clip. There's not one word of narration...and yet it speaks directly to what we do as traditional bowhunters. TradGang Sponsor is carrying the video on their website. It is also on FaceBook on the Nebraska Bowhunters Assn. page and others.
Very nice, well done, young man has talent.
Thanks for the link Bryce, the video was super!

Very cool vid man, he sure does have an eye for great things.
That was exactly what hunting vids are supposed to be like, none of the cr@p you usually get on TV today. Bravo Sir hope he makes more.

Thanks Bryce. That was really nice. It was very well done. I liked the camera work. I picked up a few good ideas to make a more interesting video. It all fit together very well.
I enjoyed it much. Could watch like video for hours.
Nice piece Bryce . . . was that YOU singing??? :^)
you where right
In a time when our media is flooded with a less than pure portrayal of our passion a peice of art like this reminds us that all is not lost. Hats off not only to the guy who made that inspiring video, but also to the older members here who've keep the spirit and tradition alive because somewhere, sometime, someone introduced him to a traditional bow.
Thanks so much for sharing that video Bryce.
Ditto what everyone else is saying. I really enjoyed that. You can see more short videos at Vimeo - Dusty Images.
"Song by Rosco Wuestewald: "Sweet Forest feelings"
If your interested in hearing more of his music, search his album: "The Secrets of Marindahl"
I am curious of the camera also and the smooth paning they did with what appears to be a horizontal rod attached to the camera.
Excellent, thanks for sharing.
Excellent Videography!
Love it!
Ahhh glad to see more people out there filming with DSLR's . . .
Awesome video!
WOW! Gifted kid for sure...can't wait for more vids!
Nice video!

He was shooting with the Canon 7D at the end there, it looks like alot of that video was shot with that camera too . . . the same camera was used in hollywood movies such as Avatar . . .
I did also see an ENG camcorder in that one scene, I'm sure it was used occasionally, but the only way to get that DOF is with either the DSLR or a camcorder with a 35mm film adapter:)
holy cow that footage was cool!
I really enjoyed that, thank you for posting it !!
That was a great video.Hay was that a POT LEAF with a mosquito on it? :saywhat: :saywhat: :saywhat:
That video was way more enjoyable than the so call pro staff jug heads on TV who just want to run off at the head and brag about themselfs. Well done.
Excellent video. That young man probably has a bright future awaiting him!
Excellent, EXCELLENT video!!! If there were shows on like this video....I would watch them.
sw
Excellent!!
Very cool.
Great photography. Some humor. Patient story line. The slow mo sky was excellent. Really nailed it.
And 2x on the request for the music. Who is that? And where can I find the lyrics?
Here's the music:
Song by Rosco Wuestewald: "Sweet Forest feelings" off his album "The Secrets of Marindahl"
I'm so glad you all felt the way I did upon viewing this (I KNEW you would!).
My favorite part was when the hunter (wearing a mask) turns to face the videographer, and cracks a smile that you can barely see, but you can see the face mask move and it can't conceal that he's grinning...I absolutely LOVED that moment. Awesome.
BTW, the guy filming over his shoulder was a high school senior(!) and accomplished bowhunter (Kyle Metzger) from northeast Nebraska. He'd commented this spring that he wanted to try a recurve, I'm guessing partially from participating in this video. For his high school graduation present, a handful of us older guys in the Nebraska Outdoor Forum (led by Tom Pleiss) chipped in and bought him a recurve.
Nice.....I'm ready now!
That was a good one.
Nice!!!
Thanks for sharing Bryce, I had my wife who is a hunter also come in and watch this, she loved it, helped here understand a little more why we love trad so much.
Very well made video. I would be afraid to ask how much they have spent on video equipment. ;-p
That was very well done
Excellent! Very professionally shot and edited.
great vid :-)
Well, at least Bryce didn't say "a handful of us older guys AND an OLD guy . . ."
I'm sure we will be seeing more quality films from these young men! Awesome video!
Just needed to bring this one back up! This video makes its way into my mind every week or so and needed to see it again. Anyone know for sure which camera was used and can a neanderthal like myself learn how to do this? Thanks...Ryan
Very well done ... I never take enough video or pictures and I certainly never take the time to learn to do it to the full capability of the equipment I own ... shame on me
Thanks for the share, very well done. Talented young man. Wow

Awesome video to say the least! :clapper:
Schafer

VERY CLASSY, well done.
Nice job...i'm with stickfliger, I wonder what camera they used? I like the helmet cam veiw when the gobbler was walking away...I've used that alot and is a handy tool for a hunter filming his own.
