I hope this thread lasts long enough to find the name of a book that I had as a kid. I'm 45 now and I think I had it in the early 70's. I don't even remember what it was about, but maybe the history of native americans.
What I remember is:
Green (?) Hardcover
A thin book (maybe came with others in a collection of 4 or so)
Native American on the cover w/ a deer over his shoulders
The deer had two arrows in the neck.
The Indian may have had a deer skin head dress and a bow, but not sure. I do remember a picture inside the book that showed indians stalking deer and buffalo wearing animal skins to blend into the herd, and carrying bows.
Does anyone remember this book? Or would know how to find it without a title or author?
You might try your local Public Library. The Librian may be able to point you in the right direction.
Is this the one you're looking for?

Holy Crap, Bryan, How did you find it? That is almost exactly how I remember it. In my mind, the deer was on the other side and had two arrows in the neck. But the indian with head dress looks the same.
Did you have this book or did you find it somewhere? What year is it, I had it in the early 70's, but it could have been older. Heck, even the worn corners look the same.
I looked on Google for hours yesterday, but couldn't find it. Then I thought the title was "Indians of North America", so I was close there.
My wife just found it on Amazon, it was 1965. Cool. Thanks, it was driving me nuts.
