Funny story you just reminded me of.

I was at White Sands Missle Range out in the middle of BFE working the Ora Grande (OG) Gate, and out of nowhere, literally, came a platoon of Marines running in formation calling out cadence.  Mind you, I was atleast 10 miles from the nearest anything.  They came up to the gate shack, made it to the gate turned around, and all I remember hearing was  "LOOK TO MY RIGHT AND WHAT DO I SEE?  AN ARMY DOGGIE WHO WANT'S TO BE LIKE ME" ,  and off they went jogging back to post.

All I could remember thinking after that was He'll no I don't want to be like them, I'm driving my patrol truck back to base.   :biglaugh:

I never saw them again, and don't remember there ever being any stationed there, but as clear as I'm typing this, they were there.  Kinda weird now that I think of it.

Hat's off to you fellas  :)

Mike, that story kinda made the hair on the back of my neck rise, would be interesting to see if you could find out if any were there or if you got razzed by a ghost platoon    :scared:

Thanks roadkill, for your service and starting this thread!

Mike, when I was in AIT at Ft. Lost in the Woods, the Marines that were there for the same thing did the same to us every morning while we were doing PT,lol. That always turned an alright PT secesion into a grueling PT secision, lol. And that is why I love the Jarheads!
