What was it without considering the shootability and doesn't have to be one you owned?
I have always thought the Zipper elkaholic was a magnificent piece of work.
Otherwise zebra with dark accents is a beauty.
A "Snakebit" from Norm Johnson at Blacktail bows. Snakewood footed with ebony.
A number of Leon Stewart's pieces come to mind.
This one from my Morrison Cheyenne...I ended up selling it because I shot it very inconsistently. It's beauty was unmatched however. Macassar ebony and Cocobolo.

I think my current one is beautiful as well. Treadway: Kingwood, Zebrawood and Leopardwood, bamboo cores. Not a 3 piece, but a great mix of woods.
I kinda like my Zipper SXT. :goldtooth: Figured Zebrawood with Bocote.
But really like this one as well :biglaugh: Bocote and Zircote
(http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh57/Szympruch/BowPhotos043.jpg)
The most beautiful bow I have ever seen is a Bighorn 96 Special Edition.Unfortunatly they never made a left hand one.The others are all close seconds.
Although I've only seen them in photos so far, pretty much anything by Bob Lee. Those are gorgeous bows.
I have seen some real nice Zippers, mine is a plain Jane in Curly Maple. But the are a lot of nice ones out there. I like Cocobolo and Osage, Tamo Ash lams or Zebra wood. Many ,many choices!!!!!!!Blacktails, Dwyers, Stalkers, the list can go on and on!
Never held one of those Dale Dye's with Pierce Points, but the pictures are striking.
Blacktail by Norm Johnson comes to mind. A friend just got a new Thunderhorn in bacote that is unbelievably beautiful then at Western States this fella had Howard Hill with ebony riser and bocote veneers under the clearest high gloss glass I've ever seen then...... Great bowyers out there with an eye for artistry. Thanks to all for the eye candy.
I'm kind of partial to this Blacktail. Very special piece of figured myrtlewood that Norm picked out. The bol.rosewood has the wide black bands.

Of course then there's a Snakebit footed with wenge, footed limbs with snakewood and lacewood...
I have an Acadian Treestick TD made by Tim Mullins that - for sheer beauty, is a hard one to beat.
Impressive snag! :clapper: I really like my Zipper ZSR riser but for the most part, I like to see the riser AND limb combinations that you just drool over. There are a lot of them out.
I'm a big fan of the elkaholic also. If you've ever held one they have a great feel also.
This un's my favorite so far...but there is another one in progress!
Winterhawk had a Stalker with osage and cocobola I think that was stunning. He has a great mind for ordering beautiful wood combinations. I think he had a Zipper that was ebony and tulipwood that was lights out too!
Right now its a tossup between Andys and this one to meThis is a lefty I just shipped and I really liked this riser,. Wenge and Zebra.

Those are all beauties, but I think the most beautiful 3 piece riser I have ever seen is the one CariBow posted here that was being auctioned off. It is breathtaking. I didn't have a Silver Fox on my list, but now I do. I've got to have one of those before I croak.
Check it out or maybe someone has better pics of it they can post.

My personal favorite but I'm biased... :biglaugh:
Osage, tulipwood and zircote accents. Just got it about a week ago.

Joe Coots has/had a morrison with striped ebony that was a real eye catcher.
Most anything by Norm Johnson or Dick Robertson is mighty fine!

I like the middle one Joe. Is that cocobola and zebrawood?
Here's one of my all time favorites.
Robertson Vision Falcon IV. Cocobolo/Osage.
I intend to keep this bow for a long time.
There are lots of gorgeous risers on here, by the way.
I really like that cocobolo/osage KwykStyk Joe.
Cocobolo and Gaboon Ebony...
Bocote and Masur Birch...
Of course Morrison Shawnees... But I always thought Osage and Gaboon Ebony would be an awesome combination too...
I really don't think I've seen a bad looking riser in the bunch.
We are truly blessed with all of the quality bowyers out there to pick from.
Nice looking bows all.
Good old walnut the bow owner cut himself
Its just plain hard to get any prettier wood than this is
I will 2nd Acadian Woods. I once had a TD recurve. It was Wenge and Bacote. Beautifull woods and the shape and curves were amazing. Mostbeautifull bow I have ever seen.
border black douglas
Seems as if my favorites change continuously.
These bowyer's are just outstanding and creative.
Keeps things interesting, however can be tough on the pocket book.
I am pleased to continue to take in the beauty.
One I made

Cocobolo and bocote Blacktail. The most beautiful bow I'll ever own. Worth the 13 month wait.

This Zipper, which I'll forever regret selling, is a beauty. What really set it off was the Scrimshaw on the Overlays. I believe I bought this from Chris Surtees.

I love this thread! Never get tired of looking at all these beautiful bows.
I kinda think my Foley is a looker. Also, joe vt doesn't own anything but beautiful bows, and Sixby doesn't make anything other than exquisite bows. Lippe

Danny do you currently have all those on your bow rack? I'm liking some of those very much.
LOL, I wish, David,
Only 4 on the rack at the moment, the three Bracks and the coco/ebony Silver Fox in the first post. Let the others slip away during moments of insanity,LOL.

So many gorgeous works of art. And make no mistake, when they get to the point these bows are at, they're ART!
The only thing wrong with this thread is that some of you all don't put the bowyer with your pics.
Keep 'em coming though.
