Well I went out to shoot yesterday and the glove I have been shooting for the last 15 years (near as I can remember) split out at the finger. No repair job this time.
Obviously I haven't been in the market for a while what are you guys shooting and what do you recommend?
Thanks
Terry
American Leathers - Big Shot. IMO, there is no better glove.
I like the Dura-Glove from 3Rivers archery.
My favorite ( and Ive tried a bunch ) is Bateman.
I tried out a few different gloves after wearing out several old Bear gloves that I had. Frankly, I like the Damascus the best out of all the gloves I have tried. There is enough protection, a good feel of the string, and a good release. Easy on the wallet, too.
+1 on the Dura Glove
Another vote for the Dura Glove here
Dura glove here
I did some research on this last night because I`m in the market for another. There is another thread about it and it looks like Dura Glove got the most votes.
I like the American Leathers Big Shot Glove as well. Tell us what glove you were shooting. If it lasted that long why not replace it with another one like it.
American Leathers Big Shot also for me.

Bulldog..... I think it was a Bear glove but I'm not sure.I stated 15 years in my original post but I had bought the glove 4 or 5 years before I moved to AZ and I moved here in 1991.I Shot a two finger under tab for about 5 years somewhere in that time frame. It's shot a lot of arrows and been on a lot of hunts with me for sure....... Thanks for the input guys... Terry
i like the dura glove and the skookum both realy good gloves i think take care jake
Have been an avid tab guy here until this past March. Had gone thru 7 different gloves, including the Dura Glove over the years which only served to re-enforce my preference for tabs. Could always discern a difference in accuracy with other gloves.
Finally tried a Big Shot. My tabs have been sitting ever since. Now I am pleased to know that there is a great glove for me.
i just got a bigshot, the finger stalls seem really small, i hope i can stretch them out enough to be comfortable.....guess i got fat fingers.. :dunno:
American Leathers Big Shot for me...

Just shot you a PM with break-in procedures for the Big Shot Elk. Ray_G was kind enough to send it to me..it is originally from Nate Steen of Sunset Hill.
Good luck!

I will echo this statement
I agree with the American Leathers...just got one a couple weeks ago and am really enjoying the way it feels and the release I am getting off the string.
My favorite is the Superglove. It is just like the Duraglove but with cordovan tips. I have one and a back up that are 7-8 years old and still holding up great. Break-in required (wear it wet and let it dry).
One caveat - I bought a few (on sale from ABS) last year for my son and nephew and the quality control seems to have declined a bit. They are still great but were not as consistent glove to glove.

American Leathers Full Shot. Takes a bit of shooting to get used to it, but it's great.
Been shooting American Leathers Big Shot for about 4 years now and really like it. Never owned a Dura glove so can't pass judgement on it. I was cleaning out some stuff a while back and came across an old Bear glove I didn't even know I still had, probably from the 70's. I'm using it some too and love it.
Another vote for American Leathers...I like the full shot.
I didn't realize the American Leathers had nylon on the fingers. How do you guys think the nylon compares to just leather in terms of smooth release and finger protection?
Damascus here.
American Leathers Big Shot. I got mine with buffalo leather.
Big shot glove for me, once I tried 1 I have not looked for anything else!
Ditto on the AL Bigshot!
Dura glove
I use damascus as well nothing gives you the string feel it provides.
Bigshot and Stick-Tite both are good . Big shot might have a slight edge.
dura glove gets my vote
I've shooting a Saunders tab for a long time. Decided to try a Dura Glove now that I live beyond the SE Alaska rain.
The first 2-dozen shots felt a bit odd to me. After that, I settled in to the feel of it and my shooting is as good or better than with the tab. Don't know about the other gloves mentioned, but I like my Dura Glove!
I use a dura glove too
Duraglove is ok until it gets wet. Used a Neet glove before that, but they develop grooves and wear out. Damascus is good if you like thin. I've given up on gloves, I do better with a Cavalier Elite tab
Bateman cordovan. Both in tabs and glove. I go back and forth. I have a whole box of gloves and tabs.
berlin deerskin glove from 3 rivers. don
American Leathers Big Shot

Thanks for all the input guys..... After checking out all the recommendations I ordered up a Bigshot. It has a different feel than I am used to but I really like it!!.... Thanks again.... Terry
damascus
got my bigshot a couple weeks ago, got it stretched to fit now.. i like it!

I concur with that.
Alaskan Super glove for me , but I use a tab mostly...
SuperGlove, after using Damascus for several years. The feel isn't as good, but the release is amazing. I'm convinced it has helped my shooting.
