What is the best method for sharpening the Tree Shark and other similar shaped heads?

David ... I use a Lanskey sharpener and it works very well. Takes a bit of time but gives a great edge. I touch them up after that with a ceramic stick. For resharpening or touching up after too long in my quiver I use the accu-sharp from 3 Rivers. I have tried the grinding and polishing wheels but I am not that good at it so the Lanskey works for me.

I use a chain saw file, with progressively lighter strokes. Get's the centaurs I have real sharp.

I just picked up a few of the RADA sharpeners(some guys call them wheelie or washer sharpeners) and they do a great job on everything I've tried them on. There's a thread in the product reviews on them.

I 2nd chris sharpening tutorial, want to thank him for posting it up on Youtube. Sharpened my LandSharks and Simmon Big gameheads, scapel sharp, can't wait till the fall.

Steelmaster sharpener sold by Simmons.  Gets 'em hair shaving sharp in a matter of minutes.

I do similar to chris but I clamp it in a gatco guide and have a jewelstick with the post coming out of the end. I work the jewelstick back and forth like a file. Fisish on leahter and they will get scapel sharp.    BILL

I watched the tutorial, found and purchased the Hewlett Jewelstick for less than half MSRP on the auction site and now I need to order a razor edge arrow guide and we will get busy.

I use Chris's method and its gets Simmons and any other 2 blade crazy sharp!!

I really like the KME on my straight edged heads but it won't work on the Sharks, and there is just no way to argue with that leg shaving demo so I'm all in.

LCH was nice enough to share his process using the Steelmaster with me via PM.

Now, not only are my Simmons hair popping sharp, but so are my Magnus I's and Zwickeys.

I use the Steelmaster also. It's a bonus that it also works great to take off the final burr from other heads and knives for me.

Light strokes with the ceramic rods on new heads gets them hair-popping sharp in a minute or so.
