Nice Job to yourself Mike & Company for pushing the envelope!!!
That was an AWSOME finish to say the least.
:campfire:
And to you too Sunny! :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
Like I said Mike, a pleasure & an honor :notworthy:
Like Joe, I too assumed that you'd won!
I thought Mike came out on top this year again myself. Thanks to all of you for making this such a special place and the auction what it is...

My hat is off to all of you. Thanks for a spirited fight that brought in SO much for the kids of St. Judes. It's a privilege to be a part of the Gang with you!
WAY TO GO!!!!!!!!!!
$8100.00 for pound cake. Only the Gang has so many big hearts! Well done to the victors and the team that pushed them there!
Hey, I'm on that team :bigsmyl: Just made out my check and rounded the total up from $91 to $100 even. What a bunch of fun on many items and all FOR THE KIDS! Thanks for letting me play and contribute to the winning team...SJH For the Kids
 To everybody involved!!!!
You guys are amazing - hats off to you all! I am proud to be a small part with my one little share :campfire:

Just a little insight into how it all came together at the end.
Up until tonight I had no idea who, if anyone, might be waiting in the wings. Although I hoped someone might step forward, I had not contacted anyone or laid any plans.
As the time was slipping away I had three different phone calls/emails from friends wanting to do more. I personally had reached my own limit, but the generosity of the others inspired my wife and I to dig a little deeper.
We truly had no master plan to snipe the bid at the end - it simply kind of fell together. I submitted my bids with a few minutes remaining to give Michael a short window to respond, and fully expected that he would top our efforts. Not until a few minutes after it was over did I even tally up the MK totals.
Once again, my hat is off to every single participant on the thread, all the way through.
This could have never happened without Huge Hearts on both sides.
A hearty congrats to both sides and the winners......THE KIDS :notworthy: :notworthy:

This was really a blast! The best money I have ever spent on the internet for sure.
Sunny put up a good fight and I was with Whip, I thought he got us.
Matter of fact Joe you can just send my slice to Sunny Hill, I hate to see a feller who loves pound cake so much go without some special pound cake. :D
Stiks
I too would be happy to donate my slice to Michael. Without him it never would have passed the 8k mark. I truly enjoyed the banter from both sides.

What a ride fellas, what a ride. :knothead: But, what a small price to pay.
Congrats MK!
This is some good news to wake up to!!!

Thanks to everyone! This was more fun than last year!!
Let's not forget Lil' D......That young lady's endeavors have once again resulted in lots of $$$$ for the kids!!!!
:clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
Holy Cow,
I went to bed after everything was over and like the rest of you thought Michael had won. Now I see this...what a ride!
Michael,
You are the Push to the Cart. Many Thanks!!!
Finally there is one other detail once all this gets sorted out, I need a list of MK,LLC shareholders for Lil D to draw a winner for the Tippit Cake Slicer :) I'd like my share to go in the pot with Michael's name on it.

Thanks Ya'll. Great Year for the Kids  tippit
Wow, that was fun. I sorta just watched from the "shadows" and enjoyed the show until the time arrived. Kinda thought the "Tooth Fairy" might be getting disillusioned about 9:55 PM. Thanks for everybody's generosity! That pound cake deserves to get out into the world and become famous!
I'll get you an updated list Jeff. I think it's a great idea to add Michael to the drawing. I'll put my share in with Larry's name on it so we have them both covered. Without the guys from 1K this would have never approached the levels we did.
What a ride!
Robo threw my name in for a share and made a donation in my name. Please, PLEASE, put Robotat's name in 2X for the knife and keep mine out. Only fitting!
I never expected anyone to do such a wonderous thing as to put my name in, in my wildest dreams!
Without the resources to play in the big boy's sandbox, I chose to try to do a little something by heckling and bantering a bit.
Instead of being a blessing, I ended up being blessed by this year's St. Judes' auction at LEAST 3 different times by at LEAST 3 incredible people to whom I shall forever be in their debt.
I set out to do a tiny bit for the kids and their worry-filled parents, and ended up being blessed in ways I do not deserve.
Thank you to all for the kids and thank you to those who have brought tears to an old guys eyes and joy to his heart.
:notworthy: :notworthy:
Congrats to MK LLC!!!!!!!
Great job, by both sides.
Bisch
Very well done by all. I wish I could have played more this year.
Hats off to MK LLC and also 1K LLC !!
:clapper:
WOW, this was an absolute ball to be part of, I have been telling my employees about this pound cake war, they thought we were crazy! That changed when they found out the $$ went to St. Judes so they had been asking for updates. They were STUNNED today when I told them what it finally went for, they were all so impressed by everyones effort. Thank You for letting me be part of this.
So everyone needs to quit worrying about Mikey. He can't help it that he doesn't know how to count past 7. He's never seen a mouth with more than five toofers in SC, right? I'm sure I'll be chompin on some of my personal stash when poor Mikey motors up to the

I'll be drinkin coffee and sharing pound cake for sure.
In all seriousness, we'll make sure everyone gets a fair share of cake and I don't want help with shipping. It's harder to cut MK in on the deal when I've got to get 12 cakes out to a handful of folks. Now that 12 cakes will be shared amongst many, cutting in some real St. Jude's heroes wont be hard at all. It will be icing on the cake...oh, wait, we don't do icing on pound cake.
Thanks again, all. Maybe we can hand deliver some more this year. Stay tuned.....
Just sent in my payment for a piece of cake.
Many thanks to Joe, Mike and Sunny for making it another fun ride!
Hats off to Sunny for keeping the competitive and giving fires burning for this awesome event.
Thanks to Lil'D for her generosity and loving effort for the KIDS of St Jude
Thanks MK team mates, now lets eat some cake :jumper: :jumper:
You guys are all awesome!! That was fun to "watch"!! That is till the end....I fell asleep and missed the whole end of the auction
Curt! :knothead: How could you fall asleep!lol
Curt needs to bid on some pound cake next year to keep his interest up. :biglaugh:
