Title: Life saver shot
Post by: ranger 3 on June 06, 2011, 10:10:00 PM
Two friends and I were shooting out in the yard and having a great time. Then one friend said lets put a life saver on the vitals of the 3-D deer. As luck would have it, the very first shot I put a GT right dead center of the life saver at 18 yards. I have a picture of it on my cell phone but can't figure out how to get it on here. It was the best shot I have ever made and it was with my new to me PCHX.

I'm happier with luck than with pure tallent, at least that is what I would say if that was my shot.

A friend across the river has a  young son who's been learning and doing "trick shooting" with his bow... he's performed at several trad shoots, aka Chris Hurt.

His dad tells of how he used to throw up lifesaver's in the air for the kid to shoot on the wing and was really good at it!

Big Jim noticed Chris would kinda squint and shake his head after each shot. When he inquired of the boy, the kid said that as the lifesaver would flip around, the sunlight flashing thru the hole, made his eyes hurt!

Can you IMAGINE that level of concentration!?!
:saywhat:

Ranger3, not to take a thing from that shot of yours, but can you imagine doing that in flight?

I've never shot that well! Congrats. That looks like a keeper bow!

I don't think I could even see a life saver from 18 yards!  Great shooting!
